Perry slams Obama administration at conservative summit
Washington Times ^ | July 239, 2011 | Valerie Richardson

Speaking to a packed house at the Western Conservative Summit, Mr. Perry continued to leave his supporters guessing as to his political future, although he did refer repeatedly to the importance of the 2012 election. At one point, he suggested that President Obama should be defeated so that he could take up a career on the Sunday morning talk shows.

"The mixture of arrogance and audacity that guides the Obama administration is an affront to every freedom-loving American and a threat to every job in the private sector," said Mr. Perry.

While his plans for 2012 remain a mystery, Mr. Perry left little doubt as to where he stands on the debt-ceiling debate.

"They spend their time arguing about the debt ceiling instead of making cuts," said Mr. Perry. "I for one think it should be called the 'escalator ceiling' because it keeps going up."

He’ll beat Obama like a bongo drum. He can beat Bammy boy by 15-20 points. Anything less than a 10 point rout will be a disappointment

#1— Bammy Boy’s base will not be turning out like they did in 2008
#2 — Compare Perry and his wife side by side with Moochelle and Bammy Boy. Rick and his wife come off a lot better on TV
#3— People are sick of seeing Bammy Boy’s on TV! They are sick of his pontificating and BS style

First, he needs to decide if he is for or against:

1. Abortion of children
2. Traditional marriage
3. Open Borders

In just the last few weeks, Perry has been all over the political map. One day he talks conservative, the next he talks to the left of Obama.

Gov. Rick Perry's FORMULA:

First! Don't spend all the money!

Second! Have a fair and predictable tax and regulatory policy!

Third! A legal system that doesn't allow for over suing (lawsuit abuse) and make loser pay (no more jackpot justice).

Perry has been all over the political map.

Hardly.

But those who want to bruise him have tossed him around in the MSM and on political comment sites.

IF the decision for abortion, marriage and borders was left up to the States, do you think things would become more conservative than they are now, or less?

Asking the question . . .

IF the decision for abortion, marriage and borders was left up to the States, do you think things would become more conservative than they are now, or less?

The point is that human life, border security, and marriage definition are NOT “states rights” issues under our Constitution and cannot be if the United States is to endure.

That is why I am not going to answer your question.

Saying what he needs to say to get elected.

The instant he gets anywhere, he’ll start “reaching across the aisle” just like the rest of them.

Here’s the problem as I see it from the 27 Jul Gallup Poll below. Rino votes = 17+11+2=3%. Conservative votes = 15+12+8+3+2+2=42%. Even if the conservatives split their support just 2 ways, they still have Romney being a front-runner at 17%. If they all stay in, then they have a larger share of the voters, but they lose to the rino because they’ve divided their votes in so many different directions.

If I were Romney, I’d be encouraging infighting among the conservatives on websites such as Free Republic.

Romney 17
Perry 15
Palin 12
Giuliani 11
Paul 8
Cain 3
Gingrich 3
Pawlenty 2
Huntsman 2
Santorum 2
Other 1
No preference 14

If Palin gets in, she helps Romney and she gives up her mult-million dollar a year gig. Intrade gives her less than a 3% chance of becoming president.

Hopefully, she will do the wise thing and not get in.
