There are doing a pretty good job of controlling the purse IMHO, I just don't think an all or nothing approach is going to win this argument or is even really helpful. It took years to get into this mess, it is going to take a few years to get out of it. The most important thing to do is elect TP people in 2012 and a TP friendly president, Then we can curb the federal beast, all we are doing now is reelecting Rats and Obama.

How so? From day one the entire Republican and Democrat leadership has been pushing hard for a two and a half TRILLION dollar increase in the debt that this generation cannot possibly repay.

Every single plan promulgated, by BOTH major parties, has one way or another had as its bottom line an increase in the debt ceiling by almost two and a half TRILLION dollars.

So, explain to me how they're doing a "pretty good job" of anything, except driving this free republic and its people to destruction.

Right, let's do nothing while we wait for the Magic Election Fairy to give us a majority. How in the world will we be able to elect a majority of conservatives if the short term approach is to have everybody stand firm behind the RINO approach? We won't be able to tell the difference at the ballot box between RINO and conservative.

We can't fix this or any large problem immediately. But we can change direction, and stop it from becoming worse. And doing that sooner rather than later seems the better approach.

If there is no offensive by the Tea Party now, there will be nothing for conservatives to get behind a year from now. We won't get a conservative majority unless the electorate is convinced there is at least a dimes worth of difference between RINO and conservative.
