"Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us. We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them if we basely entail hereditary bondage on them."

You forgot Mike Pence too. Everyone's a RINO sell out if they don't sign a suicide pact. /s

This tea party tantrum misses the forest for the trees. They need to stop acting like the only leverage that exists is here at this debt limit increase.

The "debt crisis" will still be there next week no matter what gets through. There is time for and desperate need for genuine reform.

What we got: Taxes are off the table. More than a dollar offset for every dollar in new debt. A BBA vote and, now, passage requirement for more debt. It's a first step.

As I said in another thread stabbing Boehner, West, Pence, Ryan and others in the back is not going to make Democrats cave. Democrats are insane. They're happy to fan the flames of discord within the GOP. They couldn't have asked for a better result than the tantrum this week!

"Real" cuts were never ever on the table in this debate. That's a debate to have and *win* at the ballot box in 2012. Well, it is if the tantrum types don't sink the GOP this weekend. It'll take a generation or more to repair the damage, if we survive that long. We'll have Democrat rule and nothing else.

When West comes up for re-election, I hope the Tea Party slams him.

You and Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz agree on that. Hmmm.

It took years to get into this mess, it is going to take a few years to get out of it. The most important thing to do is elect TP people in 2012 and a TP friendly president, Then we can curb the federal beast, all we are doing now is reelecting Rats and Obama.

Right, let's do nothing while we wait for the Magic Election Fairy to give us a majority. How in the world will we be able to elect a majority of conservatives if the short term approach is to have everybody stand firm behind the RINO approach? We won't be able to tell the difference at the ballot box between RINO and conservative.

We can't fix this or any large problem immediately. But we can change direction, and stop it from becoming worse. And doing that sooner rather than later seems the better approach.

If there is no offensive by the Tea Party now, there will be nothing for conservatives to get behind a year from now. We won't get a conservative majority unless the electorate is convinced there is at least a dimes worth of difference between RINO and conservative.

No, I'd need to see a snakeskin before I went THAT crazy-out-there.

And what I said was strictly tongue-in-cheek, but I do allude to the fact that there are unseen, probably deadly pressures that must come on you upon assumption of office in DC, because it's like almost 100% of the raw meat conservatives suddenly become Lindsey Graham after a set number of visits to DC.

It's freakin' eerie.

West deserves as much loyality as he offers the cause he was elected to lead - reforming the government. He was not elected to fall in line with the Rinos for socialist business as usual. Truth hurts, huh?

Yeah, me, also. Only two weeks ago, after he emailed that ‘not a lady’ did I start looking at him for VP. I liked his spunk. But when I think of it now, he used that spunk for an issue about ‘himself’. Now when it comes to our country, he folds like an old suitcase.

I have since given up on my idea of dragging a guillotine down to the square. :>)

Probably a wise choice. My fighting days are over and I have scarcely been able to warn those closest to me, of what lies ahead.

I miss the days of Super Secret, Super Genius plans of Bush and Rove that never quite became public. They did however deliver the House, Senate and Presidency to the democrats.

“What we got: Taxes are off the table.”

We did? Where? You think the Boehner deal get’s taxes off the table? Like those 6 Democrats on the deficit reduction committee in the Boehner deal are not going to demand tax increases? Please, that is just naive..

I guess when his superior officer told him to get his ass in line, he saluted and jumped to it like a good soldier. Shame he doesn't understand his chain of command goes back to his constituents and not the Speaker of the House. I gave him credit for being smarter than that.

I blame government schools. The electorate we face is not well educated and we have to account for that in our strategy.

p.s. They don't get no BETTER than Allen West.

One of the dumbest, and most bigoted posts, I've ever seen on FR.

This is what SaraJohnson wrote, below:

He’s accustomed to following the orders of the leader. He’s not sharpest knife in the drawer. He’s good at spouting patriotic slogans derived from the military culture and that is good. However, the military culture does not cultivate individuality, creativity and original thinking. Ultimately, you are good if to carry out orders frmo the top. When he heard Boner shout for the Tea Party to follow orders, West clicked his heals and fell in line like a good soldier. This is why the last silent majority conservative government movement died. Too many indians who will follow any leader. It is important for conservatives to understand the difference between patriotic slogans and abilities to actually think creatively and come up with ideas to regenerate the Republic and then lead others to help them get their ideas into action. The establishment exists to increase it’s own wealth and power on the destructive road it is traveling.

Now, the definition of bigotry is "A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs. The predominant usage in modern English refers to persons hostile to those of differing race, ethnicity, religion or spirituality, nationality, inter-regional prejudice, gender and sexual orientation, homelessness, various medical disorders particularly behavioral disorders and addictive disorders. Forms of bigotry may have a related ideology or world views.

Since we are working in modern English, would you be so kind as to point out where SaraJohnson even mentioned West in terms of his race, ethnicity, religion or spirituality, nationality, inter-regional prejudice, gender, sexual orientation, homelessness, various medical disorders, behavioral disorders or addictive disorders?

If you cannot, would you consider retracting the use of the term 'bigoted' as to her post?

Thanks in advance.

The old lefty “racist” retort I see.

You asked for it... and made it easy. From your post .....

He’s accustomed to following the orders of the leader.

He’s not sharpest knife in the drawer.

West clicked his heals and fell in line like a good soldier.

Too many indians who will follow any leader.

Your honor, I rest my case.

A lot of that going around lately. The Rats are celebrating as they watch conservatives eating their own.
