President Obama Is No Longer Tethered To Reality (was he ever?)
Forbes.com ^ | July 28, 2011 | Peter Ferrara

President Barack Obama’s speech to the nation Monday night was highly disturbing. Because read carefully, it reveals a president wildly divorced from the fundamental realities of the nation he is supposed to be leading.

President Obama actually told America on national television that it is a nation “with a system in which the deck seems stacked against middle class Americans in favor of the wealthiest few.” It is incomprehensible how a man serving as president of these United States could make such a fundamentally false assertion about his own country.

What's one more bald-faced whopper-lie among the many?

Obama is one of those credulous people Reagan used to talk about: communists are those who have read Marx. Anti-communists are those who have understood Marx.

Thanks. Like most truths, it’s short and to the point :-)

I see a lot of great ones here.

"Just before this mornings speech, David Gregory said that the president was not involved in the details of the negotiations. Hell, Obama has NEVER been involved in the details of ANY negotiations."

Exactly....Obama has never had a plan for ANYTHING. The House Dems did the Stimulus, as well as "ObamaCare."

His only life skill is his Teleprompter Reading Ability (oh, I almost forgot....David Brooks would like to point out that Obama is pretty skilled with the ironing board).

Scary.

But interesting - in the top photo, if you just look at him from the baggy eyes up, he’s almost morphed into Rahm Emanuel - his “brother from another mother”. LOL

I'd like to see us pay down the principal of the debt.

I'd also like to see actual work more richly rewarded with a lower tax rate on earned income - 10% from richest to poorest - and a correspondingly higher rate on capital gains - say 40%. Reward actual work output more. Leave the capital gains tax low enough that people will still invest, but put a priority on incentivizing actual work which is, fundamentally, what drives GDP.

(ducking for cover)

Your ‘???’ to my hmmmmmm - -

Sorry for any confusion!

It’s when you said, ‘The third thing is that he is a Muslim, etc.’ that I was realizing I’ve been thinking something similar, and you simply put it right out there.

It’s one or the other, but both are bad.

I used to try to give him the benefit of doubt, as he is a street thug that managed to get a way paved for him into this office. I assumed he was simply in over his head, and narcissic to boot, so he was simply being a moron.

I no longer believe that. Even a complete moron, given enough choices, will pick at least some of the time the right choices that would help the country. One could assume somewhere around 50% of right/wrong. I've seen him do exacty ONE thing right, namely extending the "Bush Tax Cuts" although he tainted it by pretending He Himself was actually "cutting" taxes.

Beyond that I'm at a loss to find a single choice he's made that isn't detrimental to the country, the economy, our national security, or our foreign policy. So I'm in the camp that believes he's purposely setting out to damage and weaken all that he touches, to maximize angst, to cause disruption.

“The Rich” will simply close businesses and stop working if taxes negate their efforts.

I anticipate something like a 5 day strike by productive people and businesses at some point. Something like the preludes to the end of the Allende’s socialism Chile.
