But that actually is not what I want to talk about. I want to talk about something that started to become apparent to me during the debt negotiations. It's something I've never seen in national politics.
It is that nobody loves Obama. This is amazing because every president has people who love him, who feel deep personal affection or connection, who have a stubborn, even beautiful refusal to let what they know are just criticisms affect their feelings of regard. At the height of Bill Clinton's troubles there were always people who'd say, "Look, I love the guy." They'd often be smilinga wry smile, a shrugging smile. Nobody smiles when they talk about Mr. Obama. There were people who loved George W. Bush when he was at his most unpopular, and they meant it and would say it. But people aren't that way about Mr. Obama. He has supporters and bundlers and contributors, he has voters, he may win. But his support is grim support. And surely this has implications.

Exactly, Peggy. And he told everyone that in 2005 when he said, and I quote, "The kind of education I received makes you confident in your ability to understand problemsnot necessarily to have good answers but at least understand the nature of the questions."
Barack Obama doesn't have the ability to provide solutions. He has only the ability to analyze the problem and complain about the solutions that others provide.

Hey Peggy,
Barry is doing exactly what he planned to do to this
country. Many of us sounded the alarm when we first saw him
and read about his qualifications. We are not surprised at
all.
Too bad you got fooled.
P.S. There’s no Santa Clause either. Deal.
Peggy Windsock. I like it.
At that time, you were probably so buzzed with booze and 'bama that you didn't notice that there were no long-term friends of Obama, no girlfriends, nobody who could even remember him from Columbia. We out in Flyover noticed and knew. No proud professors. No affectionate neighbors. His only friend, Jarrett, seems to function as a kind of nanny.
Nothing but an endless line of grifters who held the next door open for The Guy With So Many Teeth.
Posting this to you will serve to remind me that I, once again, read a Peggy Noonan article, but, it was worth it to post this: You write well. Keep it up.

Some good lines in her article. Still, hard to take her seriously when, during Obama’a campaign, she experienced the female equivalent to Matthews’ “tingle up his leg”.
Now this? What... did she go on the wagon or something?
I had one of those “grim” Obama supporter incidents again yesterday. Obama’s name came up and the lib said, “who else would you want to be President” (as if PeeWee Herman couldn’t do a better job, lol.) Since the person was cranky and on the verge of rage, I let the matter drop.
