Former Bay State governor Mitt Romney supports Speaker John Boehner as House Republicans move forward. His campaign says that he is reviewing the Boehner plan. "Governor Romney thinks President Obama's leadership has been an historic failure. He applauds Speaker Boehner for standing firm against raising taxes when our nation can least afford them," says Andrea Saul, a spokeswoman for Romney, in a statement to National Review Online.

Romney couldn’t lead on an issue or endorse a plan before it was focus group tested if his life depended on it.
To: Halfmanhalfamazing
The headline is quite misleading. When you actually bother to read the article, it says that Romney was reviewing the plan. The praise was actually for standing up to Obama’s call for a tax increase, not for the plan itself. I would prefer it if Romney would join Bachmann in taking a stronger stand, but this article is an example of poor journalism. I had come to expect better of the National Review.

Romney would applaud a used condom if it would get him a vote.

This time next year, those GOP candidates who held strong (against the Boehner capitulation to the Dems) will be able to say so in powerful commercials; while those (this means YOU Mitt) who caved to the Dems will cower away from the topic.

If Romney is for it, the Tea Party should be against it.
The dems have always known they couldn’t get a tax increase through the house. This was thrown out there as something they could say they compromised on. Any retarded monkey could have seen that. But the GOP couldn’t.

This headline is the kiss of death when conservatives hear that Romney(care) thinks this is a good idea.

If Romney likes it it must really stink

I think he thought it had passed, like his post-election endorsements.
On the other hand, he and Boehner both epitomize the GOP establishment ideal of clothing store manikins as leaders.
