Advisers and elected allies of Texas Gov. Rick Perry tell Whispers that the Republican will join the crowded field of presidential hopefuls by the end of August...
Perry's entry will be a "game changer," said Mark Meckler, cofounder of the Tea Party Patriots, the nation's largest umbrella group for the movement. "It changes the equation because he has a record to run on." That record, added Meckler, is the "Texas miracle" of growth and economic prosperity....
Polls show substantial support for Perry. Gallup today has him winning in the South and within striking distance of leading the pack in the Midwest and East. [Read more about the 2012 presidential election.]
One very close adviser said that Perry keeps in contact with key governors from around the nation, like Barbour, Daniels, and even Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, who runs the other state with a good employment and economic record. There's even talk that if he wins the nomination, he'd pick one of those three as a runningmate.

If she werent going to run, shed have said so by now (hence releasing her supporters to go to another candidate of their choice). She doesnt play games or go by the media timetable.YOU'RE the one holding her to a timetable saying that she had to say something by a certain time or else.
You have no idea what it's like to be the number one target of the GLOBAL media, so you can't really say how you'd manage things in Palin's shoes, can you?
I think she has valid reasons for being coy. Keep those f*ing leftists off balance.
I stand by my prediction.
If I'm wrong, I will say: "I was wrong".
I imagine waiting a lot longer for your apology:

Sarah Palin emails show her eyeing VP slot in summer 2008
Much of the country was taken by surprise when Sarah Palin became the Republican vice presidential candidate in August 2008, but newly released emails show the little-known Alaska governor was angling for the slot months before Sen. John McCain asked her to join him on the GOP ticket.
When Perry supported Al Gore, Gore was pro-life, pro-defense, pro-guns, pro-tobacco. Gore’s 1988 campaign was the very last pro-life Democratic presidential campaign. And Texas at that time was controlled by Southern conservative Democrats.
Me thinks the 'dull-witted quitter' has been more successful in her lifetime than you will be in 100 lifetimes.
Who's the dull-witted one?
Get a grip, that you actually think these started with her is asinine.
Poor baby Iceman is a full day late to the thread and has to settle for throwing bad insults at peoples backs. LMAO!
Prove it.
Sounds like you're making things up.
You've made the claim, you then said it was in her emails. Just show us which emails prove your Media Matters talking points, go ahead.
Your face is a bad insult.
That better?
Unlike you, I backed up my claim. Clearly, Palin staffers were sending emails of praise to McCain in an effort to land Palin the VP job in the spring of 2008.
The proof of that was from Palin's own emails and the emails of her staffers.
Your turn to back up your claim that McCain had contacted her before that time. Obviously, you can't.
Show us the specific emails that back up your claim, go ahead, we're all waiting. Show us the dates, and the specifics.
You made the gratuitous and rather stupid claim, now back it up. We await your findings breathlessly (not).
