A shocking video has been released allegedly showing police officers tasering and beating a homeless man to death who they claim was resisting arrest. Though the video is not clear, eye witnesses say the homeless man - Kelly Thomas, 37 - was unable to put up any resistance and was lying on the ground on his front when the attack took place on July 5. His screams and cries for his father can be heard amid the tasering noises.

I want justice for that family and for Americans, too. We are not in America any more if thug police men exist like this and dare to murder a man in front of all those witnesses. How brazen!
Funny you should mention the unions. That is a very corrupting club that pits police officers’ interests and loyality to one another against the interests of the rule of law and loyality to our citizens. The union leaders are criminals running a protection ring for brutal and criminal cops. Public unions should be illegal. Enough of this crap!

What you saw in the street in Fullerton, California could have easily happened in China or Iran.
What happens at our airports in the molesting of Americans is something you would expect from China or the way Iran would treat infidels.

What has happened to the care of the mentally ill and deveopmentally disabled in this country is a sin. Custodial care, three hots and a cot, a safe enviorment and a community which state hospitals and homes for the MR provided, is a basic minimal need.
To tell the truth, it sounds to me like they, (the police officers on the call)totally lost their bearings.

I suspect that mental health facilities, would try to deescalate the situation.

I watched the video. I don’t see how anything of any significance was “caught on tape.” I see some people milling about, and some juvenile guys narrating with an odd aloofness, but there’s really nothing to see. Am I missing something?

Very good points FRiend, I have no idea how I would have responded but hope I would be blessed enough to have the courage to intervene. None of us know how we would deal with it until confronted which is why I don’t rush to judge the bystanders.
