New York Times columnist Paul Krugman on Tuesday said it was a "moral issue" for the press to censor conservative views about the debt ceiling.
Here in lefty Austin, I saw a bumper sticker on a car that said: Turn Off FoxNews: It’s Morally Wrong!!
Folks, when the left start trotting out the ‘moral’ issue clause, that means they left is losing the public opinion battle..and they know it.
“New York Times columnist Paul Krugman “
That ought to be NY Times communist Paul Krugman....
Let that hang out there for a while ...

Krugman - China called and would like very much for you to fill a leadership role in their government.
Another misleading headline from Newsbusters. Where did he call for censorship? He said it was wrong to portray both sides as equally responsible.
His economic recovery plan of bankster, union and auto bailuts, massive stimulous spending and money printing failed. He put his credibility on the line with that. His name will come up in history as being a main player in having pushed this economic recovery plan.
He does not want anyone advertizing in the same newspapers that he’s a stupid nitwit and that he failed. It will wreck leftist history revision that will desire to make him into a glorious socialist hero who helped the First Black President save US economy with the brilliant strategy of spending the US into outter space and socializing the economy.
Don’t you just love how the media supports the free exchange of ideas, as long as it’s their point of view?
“You have to ask, what would it take for these news organizations and pundits to actually break with the convention that both sides are equally at fault?”
What is he asking the news media to do?
With krugman his target is the Conservative movement. For Breivik he’s targeting Islam. The other guy is safely in jail and continuing to deteriorate mentally so who knows what he thinks these days.
When the water melons got exposed in the “man made global warming” scam, they started calling for “deniers” to be arrested and jailed for crimes against humanity.
They are itching to murder a lot of people.
Somebody needs to design an armband for Krugman to wear.
Paul Krugman hates the first amendment.
I truly want leftists, like Krugman, to keep blathering on. The more the left fails, the better they show themselves. It wakes the “moderates” up to what is really going on. Let them keep howling.
As far as I can tell, all we’re saying, is we should do what Standard and Poor suggests...raise and then cut spending significantly over the long-term. Some here think we should default, but I don’t think they understand the consequences.
What all this means is that there is no penalty for extremism; no way for most voters, who get their information on the fly rather than doing careful study of the issues, to understand whats really going on.I feel slimy defending Krugman and he probably does want us censored, but he didn't say it in this piece and that's important. You have to ask, what would it take for these news organizations and pundits to actually break with the convention that both sides are equally at fault? This is the clearest, starkest situation one can imagine short of civil war. If this wont do it, nothing will.
And yes, I think this is a moral issue. The both sides are at fault people have to know better; if they refuse to say it, its out of some combination of fear and ego, of being unwilling to sacrifice their treasured pose of being above the fray.
On the other hand, what he did say aside from bemoaning the both sides are equally at fault approach, is truly stunning and deserving of a straitjacket forged in the heart of a neutron star:
The reality, of course, is that we already have a centrist president actually a moderate conservative president. Once again, health reform his only major change to government was modeled on Republican plans, indeed plans coming from the Heritage Foundation. And everything else including the wrongheaded emphasis on austerity in the face of high unemployment is according to the conservative playbook. Now that takes your breath away.
You have to ask, what would it take for these news organizations and pundits to actually break with the convention that both sides are equally at fault?
What is he asking the news media to do?
At most he is asking that they honestly portray who is at fault (as he see’s it). That’s not “censorship”.
Besides the headline is “Krugman: Conservative Views About Debt Ceiling Should Be Censored From News Reports”.
He seems pretty convinced it is the cultists’s fault.
