VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney treated supporters at a fundraiser in Virginia to a sneak peek of his inclinations regarding his vice presidential shortlist should he become the Republican nominee in 2012, according to a new report.
At the Virginia Beach home of State Sen. Jeff McWaters Monday, Romney praised three up-and-coming stars of the GOP, saying his shortlist included Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, the Bearing Drift blog reported Tuesday

Christie is bad on the 2nd Amendment. I don’t want him on the ticket with anyone.
I would not be surprised to hear that Christie says "no thanks" within the week.
And, I would not be surprised to hear Romney say he might even consider Palin as his VP.
What a schmuck.
If Romney gets “annointed” like McCain and Dole then I have to ask anyone who votes republican: “What else do you need to know to realize this crap is rigged?”
It sure seems like he knows he’s got it in the bag. Dole acted the same way and McCain’s campaign was “dead in the water” when he said “I WILL get the nomination.”
Mutts trying to save his sinking ship.
Could we then get him to resign?
We don’t care, Mitt, we just don’t care.
Romney is on my short list for President, problem is my short list has 475,612 people listed and he is dead last.

“Palin still has the stink of John McLame on her (somewhat).” Not in the slightest. Not a scent, not an iota of a scent, not an molecule of a scent.
Give your nose a good blow or a knuckle deep pick apparently there is something lodged up there.
Some VP candidate once said “the Vice Presidency isn’t worth a bucket of warm spit”.
Gee......a mayonnaise sandwich on white bread, washed down with a bucket of warm spit.......yeah....THAT’S the ticket. (sarc)
The all-amnesty ticket?
Oh Saints preserve us. Rommney and Christie on one ticket. Uh nooooooo!!
Shortlist?
Boxers or briefs?
Both the Bushes were northeastern Republicans who happened to be residing in Texas at the time of their election.
BARF!
BARF!
Or...two!
That was not just a VP candidate, it was VP John Nance Garner - one of the last of the true (not Progressive) conservative democrats, who accepted the VP slot after losing to FDR in the primaries in 1932. After watching FDR, for 8 years, try to pack the Supreme Court, fail to right the economy, start steering us into war, and violate George Washington’s example of a two-term limit as President, Vice president Garner actually ran a primary campaign against FDR in 1940!
How’s Rubio on the list? Is he natural-born?
Or does that really no longer matter?
