Rep. David Wu resigns
Published: Tuesday, July 26, 2011, 9:15 AM Updated: Tuesday, July 26, 2011, 9:21 AM
Randy L. Rasmussen/The OregonianRep. David Wu met one-on-one with people in Tigard, Portland and Beaverton this week.
Washington -- Rep. David Wu announced his resignation from Congress today, moments after U.S. senators Jeff Merkely and Ron Wyden called for his resignation.
The Democratic said in a statement that he would leave office after Congress resolves the debt ceiling crisis.
With great sadness, I therefore intend to resign effective upon the resolution of the debt ceiling crisis. This is the right decision for my family, the institution of the House, and my colleagues."
The Oregonian reported on Friday that Wu had been accused of an unwanted sexual encounter with the 18-year-old daughter of a childhood friend. The incident occurred in Orange County last year.

This incident must be just the tip of the iceberg for Wu.

Oh there is decades of history on Wu. Going back to his college days when he was accused of raping a co-ed. That and the guy lost his marbles. He is also in the middle of a divorce, gosh, wonder why. Anyway, the guy is likely one of the WORST reps in congress. He has done NOTHING for Oregon. Got a post office re-named. Ooooo look out. Seriously, Ron Cornelles would have been a fantastic choice, but the Dumbocrats in CD1 (Portland Oregon) are too stupid to look past the “D” or “R” after a candidate’s name. If it has a “D” on it they will vote for it. I am certain they would elect a Llama before electing a conservative.

Will victims of his unwanted advances be known as the Wu Tang Clan?

Gee, he got tossed overboard a lot quicker than Weiner. I wonder why.... My guess is that Weiner only touched himself and Wu didn't
So is Wu a furrie or what??

Wu’s reputation precedes him. I’m just curious about why the ‘Rats were so quick to dump him. Bet there’s an interesting backstory there....

Oh yes. And it’s sordid to say the least. The cretin is a piece of work for sure. The ONLY reason he was in congress is the D after his name. That’s it. Democrats in Portland will vote for anything with a D after the name. They really don’t care about the morals or ethics of the candidate, because they have none themselves. It would challenge their worldview and likely make them mortality salient to do so. Portland is populated with morons.

It sure is sad how the Portland Media covered for this guy.
Considering how they ignored Rob seems to indicate they knew something was funny about “Pitching Wu” other than his tiger outfit.
I remember going to one of Wu’s first talks in Beaverton. All I could think of was “This guy is a congressman?”
