Posting to bump that pic up so I don’t have to look at its crotch on the screen.

Well, I also had the foresight to raise 3 excellent sons who I know I can count on if I have to. I don’t WANT to, but they were raised to know that families take care of each other in tough times. They saw both of their Grandfathers take care of their Grandmothers when they had health problems and not shuffle them off somewhere out of sight. We are a close family. I see so many people who don’t seem to care about each other, and it’s no surprise to me when the kids don’t seem to care what happens to the parents. I don’t want to be a burden on my kids, but I sure am not at all afraid of the decisions they would make on my behalf should it come to that.

We all know that the Constitution, our laws or anything else means nothing to Obama. Trying to play by the rules with him is worthless. He needs to go. Can you imagine trying to negotiate anything with him? He is without honor.

EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET WASHINGTON, D.C. 20503 July 26, 2011 (House Rules) STATEMENT OF ADMINISTRATION POLICY S. 627 – Budget Control Act of 2011 The Administration strongly opposes House passage of the amendment in the nature of a substitute to S. 627. If S. 627 is presented to the President, the President’s senior advisors would recommend that he veto this bill. * * * * * * *

Obama is truly a one-man wrecking crew. The only “work” he’s ever done in his life.

Soros, Pelosi, Reid, Gore, Obama, Clintons (yes, both of them), Schumer, anyone in the progressive caucus, the UN, the late Teddy K, and a few others, all in sync have worked diligently to destroy our country.

We are at war. War has been declared on the US Citizen. It is another Carter hostage situation, except this time it is the middle class taxpayer being held hostage. Someday there will be trials. As to which side of this war will win, and who will be tried and convicted, remains anyones’ guess.

I realize it isn’t much, but sometimes you just have to give people some symbolic hope...what is YOUR solution?

I know you didn't ask me...but here is my solution:

1) - Increase the debt limit by $2 Trillion.

2) - Reset the Baseline of the 2012 Budget to 2008 Spending levels. The budget that year was $2.9 Trillion.

** - Cut Defense spending in Iraq, Afganistan and Libya - Saving $100 Billion / Year

** - Cut the Dept of Education in half - Saving About $30 Billion

** - Cut the Dept of State in Half - Saving ~$25 Billion

** - All but eliminate the Dept of Agriculture - Saving ~$25 Billion

** - Reduce the amount of time unemployment lasts - Saving ~$100 Billion

4) Reduce spending levels of the Federal Budget for next 5 years at the rate of of GDP growth until a surplus is reached...then cap it.

5) Eliminate Capital Gains Taxes, Death Taxes, Simplify the Tax code.

2012 Estimate - Total Revenues In: $2.2 Trillion

Deficit - 420 Billion

2013 Estimate (assuming bad growth of 3% in GDP and tax revenues) - Deficit - 275 Billion

2014 Estimate (assuming tax breaks are doing their thing - 5%) - Deficit - 35 Billion

2015 Estimate - (5%) - No Deficit...a surplus is reached. Surplus of 84 Billion.

2016 - $209 Billion surplus.

Just a thought of what I would do if I were king. Yes...tehre would be pain...especially in teh federal workers side of the house...but the only way to avoid a downgrade on the AAA status...and to avoid financial armageddeon is to have a lot of pain...and frankly...I think thepowers that be WANT there to be a meltdown.

A global currency is where we are headed...it's in the Bible...and in order to get there...there has to be some sort of crash. Think about it.

Well if that’s where they stand no then I vote “no deal!”

Looks like Boehners caving after all. Just stick with the program! But frankly For the life of me I do not want to see a group of 12 determine what gets cut or not...that is a congressional duty...so why have representation if they have no say in this? Might as well FIRE them all and let the people choose the 12...the savings from these polititian salaries would be a good start to cut the budget....and then cut out more of the federal employees that are just sucking up tax payers money.

Good to see many others are starting to realize what a screwing boner is trying to lay on America. And I was damn happy Rush finally figured out what Obummer had done to the base line. Problem here is the damn republicans as well as Obummer and the democraps want to keep spending 2 trillion more a year than they did in 2008: Roll the budget back to 2008. and kill Obummer care and there is no debt problem.

There is also a thread up stating there is mass GOP opposition to this plan. I’m going to check it out too.

Roll the budget back to 2008. and kill Obummer care and there is no debt problem.

And that's it in a nutshell. Just repeal Obamacare and we will have no need to raise the debt ceiling.

Then we can talk about really cutting the out of control spending, but if we give Obama a couple more trillion to spend, we will never see the cuts. Basically because the future congresses are not bound by any budget constraints from past congresses.

Any deal to "cut spending" is a bad deal and mostly a lie. Spending will not be actually reduced. Cuts will come from overestimating requirementsdesires and reducing the deliberate overestimations. Military spending will be "cut" because the present calculation is based on the level of spending for the temporary Afghanistan increase being permanent, so the reductions that are baked in already will be counted as spending reductions for purposes of the deal.

The debt ceiling rise will be real and will be repeated as needed. The next one will not even be debated because they have put on that show already.

No. There should be no "deal" at all. The house should simply start cutting programs and eliminating programs and simply not raise the ceiling. Raising the debt ceiling is the onlysignificant part of any deal. Everything is else is fanciful cover for the maintaining the ongoing power grab by the government, by the president and by Congress.
