New polls confirm Obama's Democratic base crumbles
LA Times ^ | 7/26/11 | Andrew Malcolm

With all of the spotlights on the high-stakes debt maneuverings by President Obama and Speaker John Boehner the last few days, few people noticed what Vermont's Sen. Bernie Sanders said:

"I think it would be a good idea if President Obama faced some primary opposition."

This is political treason 469 days before a presidential election. Yes, yes, this is just a crusty old New England independent for now, albeit one who caucuses loyally with Harry Reid's Democratic posse.

But while most of the media focuses on Republican Boehner and the tea party pressures on him to raise the debt limit not one Liberty dime, Sanders' mumblings are a useful reminder that hidden in the shadows of this left-handed presidency are militant progressives like Sanders who don't want to cut one Liberty dime of non-Pentagon spending.

(snip)

Strong support among liberal Democrats for Obama's jobs record has plummeted 22 points from 53% down below a third. African Americans who believe the president's measures helped the economy has plunged from 77% to barely half.

Obama's overall job approval on the economy has slid below 40% for the first time, with 57% disapproving. And strong disapprovers outnumber approvers by better than two-to-one.

The incumbent fraud has a nifty weapon for that scenario — he can use our money to bus in those recalcitrants.... not to mention reviving the dead for one more civic duty.

The left will NEVER leave Obama’s side.

The scary part is has anyone really noticed how many hard core lefties in many positions of power and influence we have in the USA who are willing adherers to the altar of collectivism???

These people will never stop believing and even if Obama’s is tossed from office in 2012, they will try again.

The hard core lefties are the source of many of our problems much more than some two bit Cook county community organizer.

Looks like one of the wookie’s cast-offs.

Reminds me of when Richard Kind “went black” on Spin City.

For the last two days, Rasmussen has been reporting -21 index. Barry's Abyss Index was 0 yesterday. Expect him to try something desperate real soon.

They can't run a white candidate because people would scream racism so they will search for an American born full blooded black candidate. That candidate could beat the Republican candidate.

They also cannot afford to be painted as the "black" party which doesn't give a damn about anybody who is not one of "Holder's People". If everybody but the black vote leaves, then they're done.

His worshipful flock has been greatly culled by the economy and his military adventurism.

I certainly hope so, but they'll also be comforted by his attempts to destroy America from within, so I suspect they'll still come home to their beloved Party.. not all, but most.

We will need a huge effort to remove him from office. Huge effort (and prayer).

And a huge scandal that embroils him and his regime at peak time right before the election.

Don't believe it. Just another Media lie.

This is just more of the smoke and mirrors propaganda campaign from the 0 Campaign to try and make him look "Centerist". These people will be working feverishly to reelect 0 next year.

I’m looking forward to hearing Nominee Palin (or Bachmann, or Perry) addressing a large Black audience, with the keynote phrase: “Are you better off now than you were four years ago?”

This is the perfect time to crack the stranglehold on blacks held by Dems.

I have loathed the Clintons for 2 decades. I’m certainly no Clinton lover; Hill or Bill, but Obama makes even them look acceptable. I do not think we would be in as big of a mess as we’re in if Hillary would have defeated the Muslim Marxist in the Dem Primaries.

It`s the hard left, folks. They`d rather do without crack than see 0bama lose in 2012.

Maybe, but if you were extremely unhappy with the Republican candidate, what would you do on election day?

obama’s focus in this debt/budget debate has been to prop up the govt for the increasing number of people who have become dependent on “the state”. It does nothing to change policies that affect job growth. In fact, increasing taxes will further depress this economy.

His path forward is to shore up benefits for those on govt programs. But, there are still plenty of people who still want to work. Being on govt handouts doesn’t cover most peoples’ bills or offer “hope” for a better future. There is dignity from earning what you receive.

obama’s plan assumes the best is behind us. His plan is to just make it more “fair” by taking more from taxpayers, transferring it to those who aren’t.

The key is the turnout and if his base isn't happy, they turnout for him will be down. No one is enthusiastic about this POS.
