In the weird world that is Washington, men and women say things daily, hourly, even minutely, that they know deep down are simply not true. Inside the Beltway, we all call those utterances “rhetoric.”
But across the rest of the country, plain ol’ folk call ‘em lies. Bald-faced (even bold-faced) lies. Those folks have a tried-and-true way of determining a lie: If you know what you’re saying is patently false, then it’s a lie. Simple.
And lately, the president has been lying so much that his pants could burst into flames at any moment.

Is Obluffer a pathological liar? Definitely, along with most of the “leadership” in both houses. Even John Boehner has been skirting really close around the edges with his insistence upon trying to sell us a plan that RAISES THE DEBT CEILING, which 61% of taxpayers DO NOT want raised. And his trying to sell us a fraudulent “plan” that would cut Trillions-and-Trillions OVER TEN YEARS! Those lying “plans” to do stuff over more than even 1 year are DOA. The spending part goes on, in spades! But the cutting part never seems to get done.
You don’t hear the term much lately, but the ‘Rats used to talk about doing ALL SPENDING REDUCTIONS in the “out years.” And repeatedly, we fell for that lie. This morning it dawned on me why they were called “THE OUT YEARS.” Because saying something will be done at some future date on someone else’s budget is OUT of the realm of LEGALITY. Because expecting future congresses to have the honor and dedication to follow through with ANY budget cuts is OUT of any possibility of being real. And for us to believe that something sloughed off until ten years hence will actually happen, we have to be OUT of our minds! That’s why those “cuts” are relegated to the OUT years.
Absolutely...only a pathological idiot would believe otherwise. More obvious than a dead skunk in the middle of the road stinking to high Heaven.
Another term they use is “mis-spoke”.
I asked an obama worshipper once about the 57 states speech and his reply was “He didn’t mean it.” He didn’t use the “mis-spoke” term to defend his idol because not long before this he had condemned Hillary for using it.
Among other things - YES.
I would call it “ideological”, not pathological, because he knows he’s lying and he’s doing it for a strategic reason - bringing in the New World Order government.

Anything to win over the great mass of the uninformed, and in the short term, it works. Until they have to be won over again.
Pathology does not enter into the lying. All the various dissimulations are either strategic or tactical. At the very least, it buys time, until someone goes back and compares what was said today, and how it differs from statements made a week, a month, a year ago.
