"I also think that my fellow Jews should not pat themselves over the back to much with their civil rights work. They were real meddlers back then and antagonized the races when the races in the south were finally coming together. If there is any of my tribe whose heart still bleeds for the black man, then put that... bleeding to good use by supporting war hero, Allen West or presidential candidate, Herman Cain. p.s. As a sidebar, it wasn't for nothing that then candidate Ronald Reagan called the 1964 Civil Rights act a bad piece of legislation."
I would appreciate more evidence to back up your assertion that the "races in the south were finally coming together." If you know something I don't, it will be appreciated. As for the "bad piece of legislation", do you think the clock should be rolled back? How far? Do you think, going back to the USA of the 1940's, where some stores and establishments had signs at the entrance, "No Jews Allowed", is a better/more viable alternative to the society as it is today?

And as a percentage of population, Latvians were the most over-represented in the Bolshevik party. Jews had every reason to hate slavophile Czarist Russia. But those who became communists were moembers of an atheistic antisemitic death cult. Too bad there was no central authority among Jews to enforce or publicize the
Cherem, excommunications, of communists.

What about American Jews supporting Hitler? None did. There were massive protests and boycotts leading the Nazis to play victim and claim that
Judea had declared war on GermanyAs far as I can tell, there are enough baby-killing, Israel hating "secular jews" to screw up the whole demographic. The decent, conservative, real Jews should be loudly repudiating the disgraceful persona of their "brethren"

And, for the record, for 1,800 years it was "Christians" who persecuted, raped, pillaged, and murdered Jews, while Jews living in Muslim lands were largely left alone.
Not true at all. Jews were ensalved, murdered, forceably converted, or at best subject to Dhimmitude, a system somewhere between Jim Crow and apartheid.
Jews have been treated well and poorly in most societies. America and British colonies have been the exception, generally treating Jews well. The myth of good Islam and bad Catholic Europe comes from a confluence or propaganda from Protestants, Jewish liberals, Enlightenment politicians, and Arabists. But it remains a myth, and a foolish one at that. Sadly, American Jews are taught this transparent lie at a young age and internalize the propaganda.
I read it is a teenager and asked the teacher at my Reform sunday school why if Europeans treated JEws so poorly, were most Jews living in Europe 100 years ago, and why is it that the Jewish and Samaritan plurality in Byzantine-occupied Israel in 617 all but disappear by the time of the Crusades? I got no answer.

The wise and elderly black people I use to work with told me that about the Civil Rights bumblers.
Incidentally, Thomas Sowell wrote that the greatest black progress professionally was in the 50s, before the Civil Rights era.

Sometimes I think I would feel much more culturally at home in the 1940's USA than today. Jews as a community always thrived in the US, even if the few stores and establishments in that era held sighs "no Jews allowed". Still much better political climate than Europe (and not even counting the Nazis.) Observant Jews have no business going into the non-kosher restaurants and shops that excluded them, anyway. And non-observant either blended in or had many other alternatives.

What about American Jews supporting Hitler? None did. I already gave you an example. He was the NY Times for decades, and during WWII years. He had a policy "Let's Not Be Beastly To The Nazis" and buried a six paragraph article "1,000,000 Jews Slain by the Nazis, Report Says" on page seven.
Please denounce idiots of your own faith first.
OK, I do it all the time. Baby killing "christians" who have not changed their ways and repented should not be considered Christians.
Idiots barely covers it, they are wild-eyed baby killing hypocrites and frauds...and as far as I know, the Ten Commandments apply to both Jews and Christians.
A Kansas GOP State Chairman once made the statement that I agree with; "You can't be a democrat and call yourself a Christian."
How about them apples!

Not true at all.
While it is true that Christianity and Islam have largely switched places in modern times in how they treat Jews - just a casual perusal of Jewish history will support what I stated, and contradict your "not at all" (which seems to want to place history in an "all or nothing" category, which is the nonsensical attitude I was responding to).
I suppose your reform education did not teach you that the sages of Europe migrated from Europe to North Africa, and eventually the Middle East? It was not until the so-called Enlightenment and subsequent assimilation that Europe appeared to be less hostile to Jews (we will leave you alone if you don't seem so Jewish). That is not to say that Muslim lands were friendly - but my comment was in response to a ridiculous assertion that "Jews hate Christians" meanwhile claiming no responsibility for Jewish suspicion of Christians. Everyone should own up to the fact that anti-Semitism is ingrained in Christianity AND Islam.
The fact is, the dispersion and exile are supposed to be hardship - and they are. Whenever Jews are separated from the Land of Israel, it is spiritual deprivation.

“The same reason that Jews in Germany went along with Hitler.”
Never happened. Hitler was overtly anti-Semitic from the start.

Are you still repeating this?
I may pity you, but I don’t hate you.

“Im left with the impression that the liberal slant comes from the Jewish leadership”
To the extent it has any religious angle, it comes from Reform “Judaism” that rejects G-d’s authority and the Torah.

Have you ever wondered why Jewish people flocked to Communism in Russia?
1. It is because the Communist promised to stop the constant pogroms. (A lie, mind you, but a pretty one.)
2. The other political parties were closed to Jooooos and were little more than Russian fascists.
In short, Russian racism.

“The terms goyim and shiksa are not terms of endearment.”
Goy/goyim (or even “goys” in English) is a neutral term.
Shiksa means a gentile girl who is attracted to Jewish men and seeks to pull them from the Torah. So yes, that’s been a problem since Abraham had sex with a hottie Eqyptian handmaiden.

Nope. And I suspect a good number of the posters are provactuers sent to do EXACTLY that.
Same posters, over and over. Cut-and-paste responses on many different message boards.
Waiting for the “Jews are from Satan Fake Khazars” post, despite the same posters being giving the genetic studies proving the Khazar theory a lie.

Perhaps this is where you go wrong. The ten commandments do not apply to non-Jewish people, and never have.
The Laws of Noah (which are very similar) apply to non-Jewish people.
It’s a fundamental theological error.

Start with post 112.
And also note that Russian Jewish immigrants of today (who actually experienced communism) are far to the right of WASP, voting wise, both in the USA and in Israel.
You’re clearly an idiot, so I won’t interact with you further.

Well, don’t interact with me - just call me names. That’s the mature way to go.
My point was about the genetic basis of liberal attitudes, and you haven’t addressed that at all, starting with post 112.
But that doesn’t fit your dfensive victim mentality, or your smug self-righteousness, or your obnoxious style. Your people make really stupid political decisions - deal with it.

I haven’t seen a 100 post thread regarding anything Jewish since Operation Cast Lead. Amazing how okay, forget it. I’m not joining in this, it looks like more a war than a debate.
