In an accidental moment of honesty, White House Deputy Press Secretary Dan Pfeiffer today admitted on Twitter that President Obama will likely sign any debt deal Congress sends his way. This revelation came in an exchange with Stephen Gutowski, the blogger known as The College Politico. Gutowski asked Pfeiffer: Do you see a scenario where the house & senate pass a deal but the President doesnt sign it? and Pfeiffer responded: No, bc only something that has R and D support can pass both bodies.

This would be a great time to slip in ObamaCare defunding language.
this just means Obama will let Reid and Pelosi block for him, and take the heat away from him.
It would be interesting to see if Pelosi and Reid would be willing to sacrifice themselves for Obama...
Only an observation....but for any Democratic senate or representative running next November....the face you want to paint on each one is not their face...but Harry Reid. What Harry says...is the line, so none of your local Democrats really represent the people of their own district or state....they represent Harry Reid. For at least a quarter of all Democratic voters and most independents...that’s a turn-off.
When Pigs fly, this is a Coordinated Strategy, there will be NO raising of the Debt ceiling until the Democrats see they are losing the Public, they are obsessed with getting their tax increases and NOTHING will deter them from that. There will be a full court pree by the Media to Bury the Republicans. Watch how the Left comes to the aid of POOR Wall St. after demonizing them for years,to put Pressure on the Republicans,The Poor Government workers will have all the sob stories. The Republicans better have a Public relations campaigm ready, they should Bury the fraud in the White Hut with his MANY contradictory speeches.
The Left Knows after all the Destruction they have wrought this is their only hope to save themselves in the 2012 elections, they will attempt to use this disruption in the economy to blame it on REPUBLICAN obstinence
Why didn’t they hike taxes last year when they owned DC...
No sacrifice needed, both Reid & Pelosi are invulnerable in their districts so they will do the heavy lifting for Hussein in congress while the MSM spouts the party line that any delay is all the GOP's fault. Bam Bam will get to keep his skirt nice and clean since no deal w/o tax increases (ooops, I mean "revenue enhancements" ) will ever reach his desk.
“It would be interesting to see if Pelosi and Reid would be willing to sacrifice themselves for Obama...”
Bingo! More games from the white house. First it was the veto pen knowing full well that it would never get to his desk. Since that failed, now it is he will sign anything congress sends, again knowing full well nothing is leaving the senate.
Punk.
Uhhh, hate to break it to you but they did with 0bamacare. The taxes don't really kick in till 2014 though. For example, there's now a federal real estate transfer tax buried in the 2000+ pages. What that has to do with health care I haven't a clue. But, as a very intelligent woman said, "We have to pass the bill so we can see what's in it.".
BS—He knows that the Senate will block anything he doesn’t like.
Manchin, Lieberman, Webb, and one other Rat senator could turn it around in the Senate and PASS CCB.
There wouldn’t be any risk of sacrifice for either of these two criminals. Reid just got re-elected to his last 6-year term. Pelosi represents an insanely left district who will keep on electing her for ten years after she finally meets her Maker.
Obama shows his leadership abilities —— again!
Absolutely. I have discarded the efforts of the GOP for not making this a primary focus of the debate.
the real obstacle now then is Harry Reid and the Senate Wignut Caucus.
