.Our friends in New York six weeks ago passed a statute that said marriage can be between two people of the same sex. And you know what? Thats New York, and thats their business, and thats fine with me, he said to applause from several hundred GOP donors in Aspen, Colo. That is their call. If you believe in the 10th Amendment, stay out of their business.

No, Rick, it's not "fine." If New York wants to do some other liberal thing, like subsidize crack, that might be "legal." But a state cannot change the meaning of a word, especially one that is throughtout the U.S. code.
But if you're brain is so atrophied that you cannot think beyond a single phrase for your governing philosophy, then you could at least say, "it's none of my business," rather than, "it's fine." It is an affront to God. And people should do what they can to prevent such travesties. And if you (falsely) believe that requires amending the constitution to enumerate it specifically as a federal issue, than you should do so, rather than call the destruction of Christianity, "fine."

The problem with your average RINO is that he ends up bringing some of his old Democrat beliefs with him.
We don't need no mo RINOs.

Perry’s only absolute is his political ambition. He is still a Democrat at heart. The GOP can do much better if it is looking for someone with conservative principles to face BO.

RINO Rick's most recent speech to La Raza was in July of last year.
Phoney hispanic "republican" front for amnesty (Somos Republicans) says Rick Perry is the number one hispanic friendly US politician of 2010 elections.
Governor Rick Perry is #1 Hispanic-friendly U.S. Politician of 2010 Elections
Phoney hispanic "republican" front group encourages the GOP to use the "un American" tea partiers and then toss us aside.
How Un-American is the TEA PARTY
Are they so irrational and merely a self-centered group revolutionary geezers that do not hold American ideal and thus attack our American valuesDemocracy, Capitalism and Constitutionalism. Strategically, it seems like the right thing to do for Republican to utilize the Tea Party to diminish Obamas agenda. But it is also time for Republicans that realize that this people merely using the flag colors as facade to promote un-American agenda . While they do have the right to dissent, sadly, their agenda pushed by special interest in Sacramento and D.C. do not embody the original best American values.

nice try.
But Perry is NOT for gay marriage, so stop posting this crud.
He is for STATES RIGHTS.
Saying Perry is for gay marriage is like saying Ron Paul thinks all kids should do drugs!

and thats fine with me, he said to applause from several hundred GOP donors in Aspen, Colo. The real problem with the GOP is those people applauding...CPAC Republicans, if you will. If that's the future, give me the past.

Just about any candidate running RINO or conservative could stomp Obama at this point. Heck, even Ron Paul polls well against him.

And you know what? Thats New York, and thats their business, and thats fine with me, So if New York (or any other liberal state) passed a statute stating that polygamous marriages between transsexuals were now legal would Perry be fine with that as well?

Michelle DID NOT SAY what Perry said. She said something far different. She also supports a constitutional amendment to define marriage.

She said this:
"in Minnesota, for instance, this year, the legislature put on the ballot for people to vote in 2012, whether the people want to vote on the definition of marriage as one man, one woman. In New York state, they have a passed the law at the state legislative level. And under the 10th Amendment, the states have the right to set the laws that they want to set
"
It sounds like the same argument Perry was making, yet she didn't get the "oh my God, what a RINO" treatment...

Either you support the 10th amendment or you don't. Either you understand the Tenth Amendment, or you don't.

I GET what he might have been saying.
NY is not Texas territory. If the people of NY want to promote this crap, then keep it in their borders while the rest of the states don’t have to deal with it.
