American Way: Return of the Wimp Factor for Republicans
UK Telegraph ^ | July 23, 2011 | Toby Harnden

Despite what's at stake in the debt ceiling negotiations, however, the Republican presidential candidates have been missing in action, preferring to stick to vapid talking points or, in the case of the frontrunner Mitt Romney, choosing not to comment at all on the different proposals being offered.

Perry's machismo is much mocked. A popular Twitter account called rickperryfacts blasts out tongue-in-cheek examples such as "Rick Perry's boots weren't made for walkin'. They were made for kickin'"

But for Republicans who see a vulnerable Obama and doubt whether a safety-first opponent can beat him, an injection of testosterone into the 2012 race can’t come soon enough.

That's what we need: a leader with a conservative record, who will put Obama in his place -- make him a private citizen.

There is little point in making yourself a target by announcing so early.

Perry and Palin have been keeping their powder dry while running guerrilla ops into the enemy camp.

Perry and Palin continue to poke Obama directly in the eye while ducking punches, because they are not announced candidates.

The fact that Perry is not yet a candidate gives him the advantage of not having to weigh in on the debt ceiling negotiations.

Wrong.

“Perry’s machismo is much mocked.”

Really. by who? Gay Leftard lunatics?

Perry, an Eagle Scout, Air Force veteran and hunter, shot a coyote with his own gun while jogging.

And Obama throws like a girl.

They TRY to mock him, but I think it backfires on them.

I liked this one, while they thought it’s a negative:

“A popular Twitter account called rickperryfacts blasts out tongue-in-cheek examples such as “Rick Perry’s boots weren’t made for walkin’. They were made for kickin’”

I want someone like Perry to kick out the current occupant of the White House in 2012. :)
