The death toll from attacks in Norway has risen to 91 with police also confirming they have arrested a suspect whom they described as a 'right-wing Christian fundamentalist'.

In a press conference police said that they had arrested Anders Behring Breivik, 32, on suspicion of carrying out the Oslo bombing and the youth-camp shooting rampage.

Norwegian Breivik, did not appear to be linked to Islamist terrorism.

The suspect appeared to have acted alone and police said "it seems like that this is not linked to any international terrorist organisations at all".

Internet postings "suggest that he has some political traits directed toward the right, and anti-Muslim views".

On his Facebook page, he describes himself as a Christian and a conservative.

Earlier World leaders condemned the terrorist attacks.

UK Prime Minister David Cameron said the attacks were a "stark reminder of the threat we all face from terrorism".

The statement came as diplomats sought to establish whether any UK nationals had been caught up in the carnage.

Mr Cameron said: "My thoughts are with the wounded and those who have lost friends and family, and I know everyone in Britain will feel the same."

US President Barack Obama said the bombing was a reminder that the world has a role in stopping such terror from happening. He also expressed his condolences to Norway's people. Nato Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen called the blast a "heinous act".

Jose Manuel Barroso, president of the European Commission, expressed his "utmost shock", saying an attack of that magnitude is not "something one would expect in Norway, famously associated with peace at home and peacemaking abroad".

Christ can take the abuse. He took worse on the Cross. We, as followers of Christ, can take the abuse and give a reason for the hope that is within us.

It’s probably already been said here a dozen times, but now Bozo and the UN will go into high gear to disarm the world. Bozo even hinted at it yesterday: he used the world “...preventative...” in his short statement. Guns will be seen as just TOO dangerous to have civilians have access to them.

Norway Terrorist: Right-Wing Christian Fundamentalist?

Anders Behring Breivik, the main suspect in the Norwegian bomb attacks and shootings, has been described by police as a Christian fundamentalist with right-wing views.

On the Facebook page attributed to him, Breivik describes himself as a Christian and a conservative and lists It listed his interests as hunting, body building and freemasonry.

Police chief Svinung Sponheim said that internet posting by Breivik suggested he has “some political traits directed toward the right, and anti-Muslim views”.

U R correct. This is was not a Christian. Just like when they, the press, others, describe people of other religions for what they are, then call the rest of every body “Christians.” Because you are not something, does not make you something else by default. Saying I am not a Muslin, does not automatically make me a Catholic, Mormon, etc. This guy was not a Christian. Call him what they might, he is destined for hell and will have a special room set aside for him like all the murderers like him. Call him what they like, I repeat, he is NOT a Christian.

Now the fascists have an excuse to spy on ALL Christians.

So Chritisnity has a nut or two.But socialism and Islam have thousands and thousands.
Doesn’t matter to the Left, this terrorist act was an answer to their pagan prayers.

Juan Cole does seem to be a propagandist ~ still, he fell off the cliff pretty early in that piece which suggests he's probably not all that well wrapped.

Wonder if that Moslem agent in the FBI Detroit office who busted the Hutaree is interested in checking out Prof. Cole's trunk.

Well, that answered that question ~ he knows (the FBI agent that is) ~ and that'll be the last trunk he looks at and only by remote from a couple of miles away!

From my extended experiences in Norway Christian Fundamentalists are few, if any.

Nearly all Norwegians will say they are Christians (The State owns the Church), but less than 5% will ever darken the door of a church.

Easter is a good example of how Non-Christian Norway is.

People get Thursday, Friday, and Monday as a holiday. Do they go to church on any of those 5 days? Of course not, they go to the mountains and ski for 5 days.

If the Norwegian churches were not owned by the State, the churches would all be closed for lack of use.

“”On his Facebook page, he describes himself as a Christian and a conservative””

Suppose he lied about that!!! Is a FB posting proof of anything about a person’s life?

Just because a Christian does something violent, doesn’t make him a “Christian fundamentalist.” Are we supposed to believe that he did this because he thought that Jesus wanted him to, and that he would go to paradise for this?

The Moslems are getting smarter, they realize people think of their Facebook or Twitter sites as the most holy of holy sites.

Somewhere is a group of Moslems taught how to create fake Facebook and Twitter accounts.

And people are buying it.

An observation:

When a norwegian Christian terrorist kills innocent people, Christians are appalled and immediately denounce his actions as in anyway Christian.

When Saudi Muslim terrorists kill innocent people, Muslims celebrate and eat candy.

Just saying.

The record of blame continues unbroken. Whenever terrorism strikes the intial announcement declares some right-wing Christian fundamentalist is to blame. Then 99.99% of the time that turns out to be false.

RE: Just because a Christian does something violent, doesn’t make him a “Christian fundamentalist.”

ANYONE can use the LABEL “Christian” and attach this to themselves.

However, true Christian will remember what Jesus said:

“Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ (MATTHEW 7:22)

Reuters uses this news to paint Muslims as the misunderstood group:

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/07/23/us-norway-killer-idUSTRE76M1P420110723

Norway killer attacked multicuturalism, Islam online

EXCERPT:

(Reuters) - The Norwegian charged with going on a killing spree in which at least 91 people died is a former member of a populist anti-immigration party who wrote blogs attacking multiculturalism and Islam.

The suspect, detained after 84 people were gunned down at a youth camp and another 7 killed in a bomb attack on Friday, has been identified by Norwegian media as Anders Behring Breivik.

Website entries under Breivik’s name criticized European policies of trying to accommodate the cultures of different ethic groups, and claimed a significant minority of young British Moslems back radical Islamic militancy.

“When did multiculturalism cease to be an ideology designed to deconstruct European culture, traditions, identity and nation-states?” said one entry, posted on February 2, 2010 on the right-wing website www.document.no.
