A memo written in 2009, describes the country’s security service as “in over its head” and adds “it simply cannot keep up.”
Separate cables state that the country felt “immune” from terrorism and that groups such as Al Qaeda were “not a direct threat”.
One memo describes how US authorities had to “press” their Norwegian counterparts to take terrorism seriously and says there was a feeling “that terrorism happens elsewhere, not in peaceful Norway.”
Talking about an attempt by the Police Security Service (PST) to track one particular suspected Al Qaeda terror cell, a cable written by the US Ambassador to Norway, Barry White, describes investigators as “committed, competent and co-operative, generally”.
But he goes on to describe how they refused the help of the UK authorities to put surveillance on a potential suspect and adds: “Not only will they not put their own resources on him…but they also just turned down the visiting UK intel service’s offer of two twelve-person surveillance teams.”

Norway has 4 special forces units. According to my brother’s friend, at least one of the units provides (or provided) support to U.S. Special Forces in Afghanistan.
I seem to remember some posts last year about a Norwegian unit in Afghanistan that were getting in big trouble for killing too many bad guys.
Oh sure, that's because they only allow in Doctors and

Norway is sure to make overtures with other western countries to lock arms on the WOT. The question is will our president turn a deaf ear to them for fear of offending the Jihadi’s?
It's a definite possibility when you consider that their Labour party (DNC clones that allowed all Muzzies in) was the focus of the attacks.
I hope they run out all muslims. It may start something across Europe and else where.
The guy I spoke about served in Afghanistan while in the Norwegian Army. Good guy, looks like he’d be at home in Viking armour clanging his sword and shield together. Very much a warrior like you say. It sucks to see some of the stuff written today because the Norwegians I know are a tough, no nonsense sort.

Several years back I recall the French being accused of such as well (yeah I know, of all people!)
I dont know jack about Norwegian politics, but I find myself wishing that as well. I want to wake up to an announcement that all Muslims, Islamic culture, traditions and laws are hereby banned from the country for 100 years, at which time we will take up the issue again and decide if they should be banned for an additional 100 years.

Sadly sometimes it takes a horrible event like this to really shock people into doing something.....The Germans got theirs with the Olympics Masacre and formed GSG-9...hopefully they will be prepared because the the terrorist problem will not go away anytime soon.
