Among the 2012 candidates labeled by media pundits and opinionators as improbable, long-shot, third-tier comic-book characters are former Louisiana Governor Buddy Roemer, former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson and Rep. Thad McCotter of Michigan.

Just saw Buddy "On The Record with Greta" Says he will not take any donations greater than $100.00. He said Washington DC is bought and sold by lobbyists and it needs to stop. Wants energy dependence within 10 years. Wants a balanced budget, and stop outsourcing American Jobs to overseas. I don't know anything about this guy. What do you all know?

Darn, I was considering sinking $2000 into his campaign. Just seems like such a good investment.
Oh well, guess I’ll have to restrain myself and merely give him $100.
To: greeneyes
He lost to David Duke in his battle for reelection. Enough said.

I feel the same way about Fred Karger and the “Rent is too damn high!” man. [snort!]

(I'll raise $2million for Gov. Sarah Palin. What'll you do?)
WHEN has the media ever given Zolton Ferency any lip service?

Incumbant party switcher Buddy lost to David Duke and a loser of a former Gov for Gov in the early 90's in LA. That's some winning guy.

Thanks for the info. I remember David Duke, but I did not remember anything about Roemer.

What do you all know? ROTFLMAO is the best I can say about the Roemer candidacy.
And yes, I'm from Louisiana and know this clown's capabilities.

That's OK. I had to look him up today to find out about this dude. I at least knew who Fred Karger was when he decided to run. Buddy is about as forgettable as a truck stop tuna sandwich.

The media also needs to give Vern Wuensche a shot. He’s a really serious candidate. I mean, he has been a delegate to the GOP state convention. That makes him a serious candidate.

Well, there’s always Ron Paul

You win the "Non Sequitur" of the day. Zolton Ferency? Is George Romney running for Gov again?

I saw him on Greta as well and he reminded me of Donald Trumps almost campaign: all of our problems are job out sourcing yada yada yada. He then went on to say how no more tax breaks for oil companies or corporations who don't pay taxes but failed to mention that one of those companies is GE and in Obamas back pocket. He also said there are too many lobbyists and the only words he forgot were Hope, Change and Transparency.

I thought he also mentioned GE, something about paying no income tax, laying off Americans, and jobs in China but he was interrupted or was that some other dude?

Hey, I’ll never forget the last truck stop tuna sandwich I had. I think I threw up a sock.

Is
that Zolton?
I've never known the man personally except as being a fringe presidential candidate (nor interested in his political ideaolgy).
If that's NOT him, dunno. Last I heard in '82 he was some sort of motivational expert.
I'll frankly state that my political ideals went from George Wallace to Ronald Reagan (in one fell swoop). One of the teachers said he's a fringe guy and I checked, and yep: he got 50 votes or so each Presidential election.
So, what the hell, he's sort of "Ron Paul", eh?
