Everybody has their priorities, but the truth is the cutting has to start.
I suggest we means test those 44 million.
Cuts are going to come. They will hit everywhere. Defense will be hit hard. I think most people understand that. But saying "Let's cut Defense" is easy -- everyone says that and they have done so for years.
Let's go beyond the easy stuff -- what else needs to be cut?

Just curious....why do kids on food stamps need to get free breakfast, lunch, and dinner at school? Are their parent(s) too lazy to actually pack them some of the free food they already get in a brown bag?

If they're really needy, government cheese, dried milk, dried beans, macaroni, butter, meat loaf and other USDA surplus commodities do a good job of filling an empty belly.

Nope. Notice should be given that in six months the Food Stamp program shall end. In addition, all Federal workers involved with the Food Stamp program shall be fired. Also, any Federally owned buildings involved in the Food Stamp program shall be leveled.
I know that's all fantasy, but it would definitely be how our Founders would want it.

They don’t need to means test food stamps..they need to run them via e-verify.
There are lots of illegals and others working for cash and getting foods stamps and other bene’s.

Then it takes 2/3 to override the eventual veto of their initial vote to deny. Social programs will remain untouched, while Defense once again serves as the left`s cash cow.
