We were in economic free-fall. There were predictions that we were headed to the second Great Depression. We were losing up to, over 700,000 jobs a month, we were contracting at greater than 6 percent -- our economy was. So, the economy has improved. It has not improved enough. "Well, there's no question that we face headwinds, and the president has been very direct about that. And we need to do everything we can, across the front, to ensure we're doing what we can to spur growth, spur job creation."

It is true. But it’s pretty easy to go from an abject disaster to just plain horrible...
This is the fascist and communist belief, that if you say something long and loud enough, no matter how untrue, the sheep will believe it. It is the belief that people are basically stupid, gullible and passive. This is probably true of about half of America, actually some do believe what Carney is saying is true and others will blindly follow no matter what because they are addicted to the scraps that the Democrats buy them off with. The 2012 election will determine if we continue down the socialist path or try to right the ship.

yeah....tell me about it. Tell the three car dealers in my town, two of which are GM related whose lots are only 20-25% full now, mostly with used or specialty vehicles. Tell the local large tractor/farm vehicle company that just closed. Tell that to the John Deere dealer that doesn’t even have a real tractor on their lot, relegated to selling trailers and trailer enclosures.
Tell it to the homeowners and banks that own 20% of the empty houses in my subdivision that can’t sell them.
These people can tell it to my ass.... that’s where similar stuff comes out. ha!

Given the fact that "uncontestable" is not found in my dictionary (whereas "incontestable" [beyond any dispute] is), perhaps this Opie look-alike is presaging a trans-locution war similar to Willy-Jeff's definition of "is"?
Of course, if you add to the time-line how long these Democrats have controlled the Senate (Obama 2006-08) and House, we have an even worse time-line for Carney to defend. Personally, I am waiting for Uriah Heep to come out of retirement to defend this administration of fellow unctuous prevaricators!
