Jobless claims rise above expectations

Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 418,000, the Labor Department said.

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast claims rising to 410,000. The prior week's figure was revised up to 408,000 from the previously reported 405,000.

Well, you’re neglecting to realize, as many on this forum, that what the MSM presents is crafted to their message. I.e., if a Republican did make the point the MSM would not report it. This is probably the largest indicator of their bias. I’d hope FReepers would at least be aware of MSM bias and the pratice of selective reporting.
