Sarah Palin is going to be a grandmother again - her 22-year-old son Track is expecting his first child.
The Republican politicians new 21-year-old daughter-in-law Britta Hanson appears heavily pregnant in newly-posted photos on a friend's Facebook account.
The news comes two months after the high school sweethearts married in a small ceremony on a ski slope in Hatcher Pass, Alaska.
A picture captioned 'my beautiful britta pie!' which appears to have been taken after a baby shower, shows the expectant mother smiling brightly and surrounded by gifts.
Another shows Britta holding up a small hoodie as she smiles at the camera.

At least it wasn’t Willow. If she follows in Bristol’s footsteps, then, as the astronauts said, we have a problem.
It never ceases to amaze me at the number of people who sincerely believe that if you wear the name “Christian” you are supposed to be perfect. Surprise! Christians are sinners too. Are there degrees in sin? We all “strive” to be good Christians, but we all sin and fall short of the Glory of God. Congratulations to the younger Palins on their acceptance of responsibility for their choices.
Speaking of Rita Rudner, one of the tongue-in-check jokes I remember her making from years ago was the following: “My husband and I are either going to buy a dog or have a child. We can’t decide whether to ruin our carpet or ruin our lives.”
That statement is too general. Somewhere along the line, you were taught, or you chose to believe that parents are not the primary influence on their children. Or you made the choice that the "culture" would have more influence on your children than you.
In our home, we made the determination that culture would NOT influence our children more than we do. After 35 years of marriage and seven children, our determination is the same, and the product bears both fruit and evidence.
First we chose the education of our children. Home schooling. The Bible as the chief textbook, and if no other subject is studied during any given day, still the Bible will be read and taught. We have home schooled since 1981 (30 years), and still have two children to graduate out. We will not be finished until we have put in about 40 years. AND we are now involved in helping home school our grandchildren.
We are determined, therefore, that the culture espoused in the government-run schools cannot influence our children more than we do.
We determined the pastimes that would be acceptable in our home. We don't have a television set, and any videos watched via computer are first screened by us, the parents. We make the decisions, not our children.
Our teenage children are allowed to select their own clothing, if and when they are purchased at retail establishments, but only within a specified range of styles and fashions (lengths; reveal; etc.), modesty first, rejection of Paris, New York, and Hollywood second.
None of our adult children have rebelled against standards taught them when young, because they well understand the PURPOSE of our convictions, to honor Jesus Christ and His Word, not just the enforcing of rules.
Then, we determined many years ago, what kind of churches we would attend with our children, based upon whether any given church is a Biblicist church, or a culturalist church. Would our children hear genuine Bible-preaching and teaching, or would they merely be entertained (like in the "Emergent Churches").
The differences were taught to our children, by us, their parents, in the home on a daily basis. Result? All of our adult children are actively involved in Christian service, in local churches (along with our grandchildren), and some on foreign mission fields.
We deliberately chose Biblical Heritage for our children, instead of churchy culture. NO attendance of church for attendance sake---rather, attend the churches that honor Christ and His Word, and grow by spirituality rather than by the entertainment draw.
Training up children in the way they ought to go NEVER happens by accident; it must be a deliberate course, set by parents, and consistently carried out over the long haul.
That culture influences children more than parents may be fine for you, but it is not acceptable to at least hundreds of thousands of families nationwide. We attend camp meetings, revival meetings, home school events, and other such gatherings, regularly, where culture having superior influence over parents would be soundly rejected.
The writer of the article must believe Track got his wife pregnant when he was in Afghanistan.
Those Palins are amazing!
Yes it was a general comment. Good job and God bless.
I admire your choices and applaud the Christian training of your children. I also am glad they are following Christ. However, lest anyone misunderstand, this kind of upbringing is still no guarantee of children turning out to make the right choices. Many Godly parents are racked with guilt and despair when one of their children go astray, thinking, “Where did I go wrong?”, “What did I fail to do?”...when in reality that child made the choice to reject his parent’s teaching and must stand alone before God.
Libs also love to point to Bristol as a product of abstinence-only education... except that it’s not even slightly true. Bristol had the standard comprehensive sex ed offered in Alaska public schools.
Track is pregnant?
The vast majority of the time it is a decreasing consistency in the determination of the parents that causes what you speak. Then sometimes, the parents begin down the right course because they see it working in other families, but the internal guidance (Holy Spirit) is just not there---maybe never was there.
Your remarks seem to be almost seeking failure. We depend on the promises of God, and an abiding Holy Spirit.
What we are talking about is not an anomaly, but based on Scriptural principal and design, and success -- SUCCESS -- SUCCESS is enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of families nationwide, who know both they and their children are sinners, ruined, but for Jesus Christ and the grace of God.
We are not talking about a "philosophy" (Colossians 1:8 !!)of child-rearing or education, but about the very real PROMISES OF GOD to His children.
And, of course, the point I was making is: Culture means NOTHING where Christ means everything.
I was scandalized when I found out that Mary, the mother of Jesus was pregnant before she married Joseph. :-)
What a blessing! Those sitting in judgement obviously never had to go to war or serve in the military. If something had happened to Track in Afghanistan(God forbid) this blessed child would have lived on and helped heal the loss. Thankfully, that did not happen and they can be a whole and happy family.
God bless them all!
Thanks for the ping.

Well you know what? Life happens. Kids sometimes do things that disappoint their parents. It’s very humbling.
They probably will!

A wise and wonderful observation.
So is yours, CA -- That is what we, as parents, strive to do...raise our children to be independent and adult in their thinking.
My wise dad used to say that responsibility cannot be delegated, it must be owned. Sarah and Todd's kids are perfect examples of honoring their responsibilities. I don't know what more a parent could want.
However, feel free to continue to attack me if it makes you feel better. Sticks and stones and all that.
I'm just amazed at the percentage of you who foam at the mouth anytime someone says something you might not agree with.
Palin’s critics are insane. Truly insane.
Wonder how many first babies come less than 9 months after the wedding?? I believe that Patti arrived 7 months after Ronald and Nancy’s wedding.
So, big deal. Of course the LSM is going to play this for all it’s worth. If you can’t abstain it’s better to have the baby than kill it. And I’d like to know how many journalists control what their teenagers and adult children do.
They really are creative in their attempts to marginalize Sarah Palin.
What shallow; predictable people they are.
