Speaking of the “gang” of six, it seems to me weird that they keep using the word GANG. What comes to mind if you were playing Password? Gang...rape, banger...nothing that sounds too pleasant really. Yet they choose to use the word GANG rather than group or some other less intimidating, less emotionally packed word. Why? My theory is that this is intended to have that edge to it of force, thuggery, and “we don’t care what you think.” Indeed these gangs in the Senate do keep raping our country. We should call them gang-rapists. Two can play at the word sniping. OR we can just go along and keep being really polite and see how that works out. Hmph.
Rush reminded everyone listening today that this usage of “gang of ____” started with the ChiComs when Mrs. Mao and the other 3 of “the gang of four” took over China from Chairman Mao. You observation was also quite correct, however.

CALLER: Well, not necessarily as it was originally founded, I don't. Personally I think the major turning point was the 17th Amendment. I don't think that if we had senators who represented states, that we would have ended up with the Supreme Court that we have, which would allow the things that it has as far as interstate commerce and all the rest.
The caller made a very good point here and prior to this exchange. He said to Rush that our current system, regardless of the best intentions of even the Tea Party, is "predetermined to spend money," and described it as a "systemic problem."
It's an excellent point and Rush could probably have expanded it to an even better monologue. It's understandable though, that he took a different tack and used it to make a point about the Tea Party.
Do what bubba told you to do..;o)...then the house will have NOT choice but the impeachment proceedings...

I have no idea.
I have not even heard his name mentioned in the last year or so, but I have not been looking.
I just know that what he said was great, true, and a classic.
Oh and btw, they were foiled in Peking just as they will be foiled in DC.
