Because she leads the pack of GOP presidential contenders in Iowa, Michele Bachmann has been attacked on all fronts.
The mainstream media has attacked her husbands controversial gay therapy clinics that received federal taxpayer dollars.
Those on the left have accused Bachmann of being a lightweight demagogue who is insensitive toward gays.
And those on the right have expressed their irritability at someone who they accuse mugs for the cameras while lacking a record of significant legislative accomplishments.
And last night, The Daily Caller published a story that detailed Bachmanns history of nearly debilitating migraines and her alleged dependence on pills to remedy the panic-induced migraines.
In addition, fellow presidential candidates such as businessman Herman Cain and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty have drawn sharp contrasts with Bachmann. For Cain and Pawlenty, drawing these contrasts is a matter of survival -- they need to peel away Bachmann's supporters in order to establish momentum for their campaigns.

I agree.
Don’t forget the Palin attack dogs on FR.
the Libtards will do the same thing to EVERY Republican candidate for POTUS
I know. The only thing I wonder about is the way she came. Bill Kristol and John McCain. What do you think about that?
I think she’s her own woman.
Bachmann is still spinning her wheels, stuck in that stage in her campaign where she’s prone to be put on the defensive, and has to remind everyone that she’s a serious person with serious concerns. This puts her WAY behind Palin who’s been pelted from every direction for nearly three years now, and keeps popping up stronger than ever.....however.....will Palin run and allow herself to be subjected to even more withering attacks than she’s already gotten?
Bachmann will be demonized over everything they can find, including probably one issue that’s red meat for the Libs,
the ‘reparative therapy’ practice her husband is and has been involved in, which has as its goal turning gay people straight. Sorry to say, this plays not so well with a much broader spectrum of people than we’re aware of. Bachmann will be perceived as “just TOO straight”,and a much more rigid evangelical type than Palin. This will hurt her a lot, I’m afraid, and I can’t see her making it all the way with her campaign. Just the way I see it. We’ll see,as will I.
We shall see...but remember, she’s never even won a state-wide election and she’s got some formidable enemies who did their darndest to unseat her lat time and will have the cash to multiply their efforts many-fold if she stays in. They’re probably keeping their powder dry now, letting her spend and get expectations up, but stand by...I don’t think we’ve seen anything in the way of attacks yet, and we know what those scumbags are capable of...
I like her - I heard her speak at a Tea Party and she is also an excellent speaker and projects her message well, which is important.
But I did not like her refusal to vote for the House debt bill, particularly after she had said she was going to vote for it. That was not the time to take up Obamacare (her rationale for not voting for it was that it did not repeal Obamacare), and it made her look like a Ron Paul-type independent act and not somebody who can be relied on to work with the people around her.
I think this was a serious mistake.
It’s a good question, and it’s all up to her. If she’s going to succeed as a candidate, and potentially as POTUS, she has to not only withstand attacks from our ideological enemies, but positively revel in them.
“Insensitive toward ‘gays’? You bet I am! People suffering from a psychological disorder don’t need sensitivity, they need HELP!”
Of course there will be attacks - serious ones.
If she rides them out - she will come out much stronger
Take a hard look and see the MSM for the propagandists they are.
Yep, she just reinforces my suspicion she’s a Ron Paul libertarian, not a conservative.
And if she is libertarian, then it is dishonest of her to seek the GOP nomination.
She knew the Cut, Cap & Balance Bill was going to pass anyway, then be killed in the Senate and vetoed by 0bama even if it passed the Senate somehow. It is obvious from Boehner’s statements that the Pubbie leadership is already looking beyond that bill to some kind of deal with the Demons.
I know, but the problem is that it gave the liberal press something to crow about. All I have heard today is that Bachmann voted against it.
This may have been a naive error. Perhaps she didn’t realize that the press and the left would focus on her vote. In that case, she should think a little more about the consequences of her actions. It’s not just about her anymore.
In a way these attacks are a good thing. I wish all the candidates were getting slimed like this so we can evaluate who handles it best. You know they will be saving their worst for the election. Could be the dirtiest election we’ve ever seen the stakes are so high.
How can they crow about it when her no vote was because the bill didn’t go far enough. And her no vote didn’t come close to stopping CCB from passing. Who’s focusing on it anyway? MSNBC? No one listens to them.
