Eight things you ought to know before you start writing stories about Rick Perry. Youre welcome.
(Excerpt) Read more at texasmonthly.com ...
Yeah. Whoopty Doo! There's no limit to what some politicians will do to get elected.
I don't recall a time since their creation in 1973, when they were not a liberal rag.
Actually Texas is one of the very few states left that is not already screwed.
“Don't attack my dog or you might get shot ...” Perry said.
You better be glad we ain't within arms distance partner.
If this whole thing ever flies apart...you better HOPE and PRAY there are a whole lot of us Texans by YOUR side. Matter of fact...I would BET there will be more of US...BETTER armed than from whatever sorry state you are from.
Yep. you’re right.
By the way, I really like your about page here. Very fitting for the times we live in.
To be fair...
What about Obama and the refusal of the media/voters to investigate/hold responsible his socialist dealings from 1989?
Everything is fair game in politics...
And to insist otherwise lets politicians not be held accountable for their political actions.
That’s my take on things.
Wow! OK, y’all . . . Dog lovers for Perry!
Seems an awful lot of Palin supporters are calling Perry a phony even down to calling him basically a phony Christian. If what you say is true he is worse than Obama.
Last I checked there is no movie premier for Perry to attend (about himself) there is no photo shoot with newsweak, no reality shows with other reality show stars,no children on tv programs as a matter of fact, Perry has just been governing the most successful state in the Union during the Obama disaster.
Maybe he will do "Rick Perry's Texas", you know, a TV show so everyone can get to know the "real" Rick.
Texas Monthly has always been annoying, good enough to have to read if you want to keep up with Texas, but too far left for you to be able to relax and enjoy it.
The same way that PBS, US News, the NYT, LA Times, and Newsweek, etc, etc, were before we had talk radio, Fox, and the internet, it was like taking medicine, but you had to choke them down to stay informed.
Well bless your heart !
Touched a nerve there, didn’t ya!! Sorry, but I have to agree with the previous poster who quoted that great bard, Ray Wylie Hubbard. If there is ever another occasion to draw a “line in the sand” we will all gladly step across - and we won’t be carrying just swords and muskets (there may be a few Bowie knives, though....)
Puhlease .... Rush is right, you know. Elmer Fudd could beat Obama. Assuming a Warner Brothers Toon could qualify under the NBC clause. He's certainly old enough.
Just got to thinkin’ that maybe I read your post wrong, or it was a typo and you really meant to say “Screw Taxes!”.....in which case I am right in there with you. That must be it, because NOBODY says “Screw Texas” ever.
Maybe that's because Perry actually took his job of being Governour seriously, instead of quitting halfway through to ride a bus around, make gazillions in speech fees, and make a self-congratulatory movie about himself?
True. That'd be almost as bad as saying "Screw Missouri."
Exactly
Why don’t you tell us where you’re from? Ashamed?
Frankly, I am getting a little tired of people (who know nothing about Perry), call him a RINO. He was a conservative Democrat over 20 years ago. Al Gore at that time was considered to be a conservative Democrat too. That was before he started with the Global Warming nuttiness. Rick Perry is now a CONSERVATIVE Republican and has been for over 20 years. You want someone to hold his own and beat Obama? Perry is your man. Believe me there is no love lost. Obama came to TX for a fund raiser in Houston and snubbed Perry the Governor of the state.
Maybe. But he’s not making any discernible positive waves in the Tea Party.
If he wants my vote, he’ll have to be like Palin.
