Michele Bachmann Reportedly Suffers From Stress-Induced "Episodes"

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) suffers from incapacitating, stressed-induced migraines, The Daily Caller reports, questioning her fitness to be President.

The report cites multiple sources close to the GOP presidential candidate confirming the condition, and lists multiple hospital stays and trips to urgent care centers for treatment.

"She has terrible migraine headaches. And they put her out of commission for a day or more at a time. They come out of nowhere, and they’re unpredictable,” a Bachmann adviser involved in her 2010 congressional campaign told The Daily Caller.

A spokeswoman for Bachmann, Alice Stewart, confirmed ”she suffers from migraines and they’re under control with medicine,” but said the report that they were incapacitating is wrong.

But to use the term “heavy pill use” to imply she’ a drug-user is downright despicable.

Obama on the other hand has been a drug user and remains a compulsive substance abuser. But I guess that is okay, right?

I have mixed feelings about this one.

On one hand, it is an obvious hit piece from the Lib Media, on the other hand, I would be concerned about having the president incapacitated by recurrent migraines.

This is a nasty hit piece. It is the 9th paragraph before they even mention that her problem is migraine headaches, but “heavy pill use alleged” is in the disgusting title.

While there is quite a list of both preventative and pain relieving drugs for migraine, only as a last resort are people given opiates.

The intent is obviously to portray her as a pill popping junkie, who can’t deal with the stress of criticism, and is borderline to a nervous breakdown.

Not like the 29.5 million other Americans who get frequent migraines, and who treat them both for prevention and pain relief.

Sorry; I won't believe any of these stories. I don't trust any story about any conservative (female especially) candidate unless I hear it from them directly.

Dual-citizens, however, raised in environments conducive to marxism, islam, and black liberation theology are A-OK. I used to have excruciating migraines. The best thing I found for it was Excedrin Migraine. Along with that I use a Nettie Pot or spray saline solution in my nostrils. I just use the saline solution now on occasion and I haven't had a migraine in 7 years!!

The love of my life has suffered from migraines for years. These last 6 months, likely due to considerable stress from both her job and dealing with her ailing elder mom, they have become more frequent, and worse. She's gone for 48 hours where she can barely get out of bed, and often has had to miss work. She's tried everything over the years..nothing has worked. Now, when she feels one coming on, she pops some extra strength Excedrin, and it sometimes helps.

With that in context, I know that the MSM is going to attempt to slime Bachmann, it's what they do. I like her, I'd be comfortable supporting her, but given this, we just can't ignore it and pretend it's not a factpr.

We don't know how frequent, how debilitating these migraines are..I know some people who have suffered from them for years, and they describe them as unbearable.

It's not as if Bachmann is the ONLY candidate who represents conservative values. I think much more will have to be said about this by her. Just because the Dems have covered up medical records, from JFK to Slick to Zero, we should not follow the same path.

Migraines are not caused by stress. They are more likely caused by allergies, but nonetheless can be readily and are, medically, differentiated from “stress headaches. Migraines are well controlled by current nonaddictive medication today. This article is reaching.
