That is why I am so hopeful! History proves that Truth wins. So does the Bible! I just have seen so many children ruined and harmed (and dead) in this culture war. A lot of needless pain and a waste of such valuable resources and talent and brainpower. With a little understanding, so much pain could be avoided. I loath the destruction of the mind of a child. It is evil.
The thing that worries me—and not much does—is the mob thugocracy—where the freedom of debate is not allowed. The PC police are putting into law ways to jail people with the “wrong” thoughts. People are being destroyed if they have the “wrong” thoughts or join the “wrong” church (unless they are a Marxist one like Rev. Wright’s). Thought crimes exist now in the US under the guise of “hate speech”—such a bizarre, dangerous thing, I would never have thought it possible in the US and people “think” it “good”.
Totalitarian starts with speech and ideas and the children.
But the soviets created a complete hell-hole for their people—who created a Dostoevsky and so much brilliance even with Czars before the terror and destruction of family and relationships with their policies, which created no trust in anyone and terror and fear as an everyday thing.
As Chambers said in Witness, living with fear is a horrible way to live. We are getting there with everyone being so frightened to say the truth—the truth is now a “gotcha moment” in the news where they use “good” to make people look “bad” so they can shut them up and hopefully destroy them. All their perceptions of good and evil—destroying the Christian paradigm—so they can be god and redesign man and determine our standards.
I love freedom and family and the ideals that created America. They are superior and essential for happiness and flourishing, although hardship can and does bring people together—when there is no morality—it will destroy them.
Someone should open an outreach center across the street to help in the closet queer Muhammadans fight the oppression this mosque endorses.
Only in America do we allow our enemy to kick our asses on our own ground. Dumb.
When fully constructed, will the Mosque be as obvious a target as the Twin Towers were?
Can’t believe any reputable contractor or architect would take this job. It was be business suicide. It will never be built, or it will mysteriously burn down prior to opening day.
Wouldn’t it be awful for someone to buy a billboard next to it on which would be advertised such items as hams or kosher franks or b’nai brith? BTW, who’re they gonna get to build it? NYC unions? I think not, and NY requires all construction to be unionized.
