Poor President Obama just can't catch a break. Earlier today, the president entered the White House Rose Garden to announce that he'd tapped Richard Cordray to head the newly formed Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. But then he told a bad joke about Cordray's past as a Jeopardy! contestant. And nobody laughed. And it was sad.

hmm..why would Gawker make their messiah look bad?
Yeah, when everybody you send to Congress to testify about anything are less than forthcoming, jokes about answering questions with questions don’t tickle my funnybone, either.
Pretty sad when the suit your wearing is sharper than yourself.
What's up with that?
The central mission of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is to make markets for consumer financial products and services work for Americanswhether they are applying for a mortgage, choosing among credit cards, or using any number of other consumer financial products.
Congress established the CFPB to protect consumers by carrying out Federal consumer financial laws. Among other things, the consumer bureau will:
Conduct rule-making, supervision, and enforcement for Federal consumer financial protection laws
Restrict unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices
Create a center to take consumer complaints
Promote financial education
Research consumer behavior
Monitor financial markets for new risks to consumers
Enforce laws that outlaw discrimination and other unfair treatment in consumer finance
Many of the pieces of the Dodd-Frank Act relating to the CFPB will go into effect on July 21, 2011.
The drudge headline now is for GET THIS the DOJ to investigate Obama. What a joke.

It’s another “I’m from the government and I’m here to screw you some more” bureaucracies.
We’re in a depression and the silly SOB takes everything so lightly.
FUBO
Consumer Protection Bureau?
I thought that WAS the joke.
Some call him a wit....and they’re 1/2 right..
It is not the first time.
We all know this guy is awkward and telepromter dependent.
“the guy is a dope that is almost single handedly responsible for the evaporation of trillions of dollars of wealth in this country and unemployment figures realistically pushing 20% resulting in misery for 100 million people and we are supposed to laugh at his lame ass jokes.”
***
I’m not so sure he is a dope. He may be a puppet for Soros, et al. but be assured, this financial mess is deliberate. He and his handlers want to destroy America.
The man doesn’t have an honest bone in his body.
Jeez! he is bobbin and weavin between those teleprompters, trying to act all homey
It is no wonder...here he is telling the press every day that horrible thigns are going to happen if the debt limit isn’t raised pronto and then they all are supposed to laugh when he tells a joke?Sorry Mr President but most people in this country aren’t in the mood to laugh they are scared to death because YOU made them that way.
“Enforce laws that outlaw discrimination and other unfair treatment in consumer finance”
Uh-oh. I sense more loans made to people who don’t qualify, but because they are minorities, they won’t be refused.
Since this new agency is setting up a center to field consumer complaints, I think we should flood the place with complaints about how big government is destroying the economy and hurting all consumers.
The joke is on us.
