In late July 2010, Rep. Michele Bachmann’s then-communications director, Dave Dziok, told his boss that he planned to take a new job with the public relations firm Edelman.
Dziok had worked for Bachmann for two and a half years, a relatively long period by the standards of her office, and was leaving on good terms.
Staff turnover can frustrate any employer, but Bachmann responded more dramatically. Dziok’s departure triggered a debilitating medical episode that landed the congresswoman in urgent care.
“Within 24 hours she was in the hospital,” a former aide says.
Bachmann was admitted to a Washington, D.C. hospital on Friday, July 30, and released that same day. She flew home to Minnesota to recuperate, missing a scheduled campaign event with Sen. Roy Blunt.

She might as well, however if the clamor continues after she does, then it needs to be ignored because it has obviously been stirred up to try to drive her crazy.
Did you even read the article? The sources claim that she has missed several events, been taken to the emergency room multiple times on the road, and been bedridden at a colleague’s home with intense migraines.
Aspirin and Tylenol do not work on migraines and they are not prevention meds. If she requires prevention meds, prophylactic meds, and pain meds. She’s likely taking an anti-seizure or blood pressure med to prevent the migraines, a “triptan” to abort them, and a narcotic to ease the intense pain. It’s not the medicine that is the issue. It’s the incapacitation.
If the claims are true, and I don’t have a clue if they are, she can’t run the country. People who do not suffer from migraines do not understand them and how severly they can affect migraine sufferers and everyone with whom they interact. I have them and I would not wish them on anyone.
If the claims are true, we’d be hearing from more than faceless “sources” that she’s been calling off campaign appearances. I say herd of cats.
A migraine is not a headache. Technically, it’s medically the opposite of a headache. (Blood vessels expanding versus constricting.) Migraines are a serious medical condition that can lead to stoke or worse.
I too wonder if Tokyo Rove has something to do with this attack. He seems to have a problem with female conservatives.
It could be total bunk. Frankly, I hope it is. Until she responds though, this is an issue for me.

The Bachmann campaign at some point should go into Bachmann's medical history. All candidates should. Even ones who don't take medication for migraines.

On the odd chance that she actually has this malady and that it actually afflicted her when the missiles are flying or whatever concerns you, we have ALWAYS been well prepared for such things. Her Vice Palin can push the button. Big hairy deal.

The GOP-E is scared to death of Bachmann. I think her popularity, especially among independents, has caught them completely by surprise.
They’ve already sent in their Kamikaze candidates (T-Paw, Perry, Santorum). None of them are getting enough traction to finish sinking her, so they’ll start sending wave-after-wave of fauxcon media zeroes. Anything to keep the status-quo gravy train running as long as it can til we default.
They are discussing MB getting migraines and missing work to recuperate, yet our president is getting ‘lines in his face’ and needs frequent golf outings, parties, and vacations to combat his stress. He is tardy, smokes, drinks, and has used drugs. I think O has missed mega more days ‘recuperating’ and MB holds a more reliable record.

I’m not worried about the football necessarily. I trust the Joint Chiefs to give proper advice in that respect.
Migraines can significantly impact one’s ability to make even basic decisions. I think many on this thread are not giving enough consideration to the potential consequences of a POTUS with debilitating migraines.

To be clear, all canidates should release their own medical records. Questions about specific medical issues, such as Bachmann's migraine headaches and the medication she takes for it, Cain's Stage 4 cancer, Obama's mental disorders...etc, should all be asked and answered.
I'm with ya, but this is her own former chief of staff, a bunch of anonymous sources who purport to be in her inner circle, and a website that calls itself conservative publishing a hit piece worthy of the Daily Kos, or the Enquirer. Or the Huffpo.
I know it's naive to be disappointed so I'll suppress the thought.
