The American Civil Liberties Union is suing the state of Alaska on behalf of a transgender woman, alleging that it denied her a driver's license listing her gender as female unless she provided proof that she'd undergone a sex change operation.

“Her” gender is not female no matter what biological plumbing inheres in him. “Her” gender might be feminine, though. Gender is not sex. Gender is a grammatical designation. Sex is the biological designation. A male that becomes topographically female is not of the female sex because his chromosomes are male. Words referring to him could be feminine in gender, however.
Exactly, not much different than changing one’s gender to a cat or dog and that’s probably not far off.

Good friend of mine here in Kansas worked at the counter of the motor vehicle department when two big overweight truck driver types came in and self identified as partners. The bigger one told my friend that his “girl” had had surgery and now wanted to have female on “her” drivers license. Jerry said to her, “yes mam.”

I don’t understand how this has become “normal” or acceptable.What about those who want to have a limb removed because they don’t think they should have it? Why are the Transgendered looked at as being legitimate while the people who want a healthy limb removed are considered sick in the head?
