Laura Ingraham’s baptismal cross went missing from her checked luggage at the Newark airport this weekend, and the syndicated radio host says either a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) worker or a Continental Airlines employee is responsible.
Ingraham had just finished several radio and television appearance in New York City and was in a rush to the airport. She told The Daily Caller she normally carries her luggage on planes, but since she was pressed for time and was carrying copies of her new book, she checked a suitcase before her Friday evening flight from Newark to Denver.

I would never put jewelry or any valuable or any semi valuable item in my checked luggage. Bad decision.

I'm surprised Laura would trust the TSA thieves. Kind of like putting a steak on the floor and trusting the dog to leave it alone.

One of the objectives of the exercise is to convince people to *not* fly.
The “Luddite left” hate airplanes and air travel. In Britain now there are calls to heavily tax flying in addition to the taxes they already have.

Think about it, there is absolutely *no* legitimate reason for the TSA to keep increasing its level of offensive behavior, and yet it does. Why do they *concentrate* on the most innocent of people, such as small children, people in wheelchairs and the handicapped, the sick and elderly?
Security almost has nothing to do with it anymore.
NEVER EVER put valuables in checked bags. I’ve had stuff stolen and learned my lesson.

Don’t know how may mooselimbs are with TSA, but there are a LOT of holder’s people same on flight line.

I am sorry that Laura was robbed. However, on NRO there are two threads on this and I think the purpose is to shame the Newark Airport into giving up the culprits. Good luck with that one!
The tsa uses the xray machines to see if there is anything in your bag worth stealing.
I had a flat piece of metal stolen. A sample of a piece of metal with a special coating of paint. Not really valuable, but stolen just the same. Guess some tsa goon wanted something shiny. Should have coated it with itching powder or habanero pepper oil. Would make their next trip to the little thugs room rather interesting.
Just be prepared and don’t pack anything that you can afford to have lifted.
