Arkansas town attacking citizen’s First Amendment rights
The Right Scoop ^ | The Right Scoop

This story sounds like something you would hear out of China, not the United States. In Gould, Arkansas the city council is planning to pass an ordinance that forbids any group from forming or gathering that will discuss city matters without first getting city council approval – a clear violation of the First Amendment.

They mayor is dead set against it but it appears from the video that they can override him:

VIDEO

This is tyranny on steroids. I can’t imagine this will stand up in court but it appears that the city council wants to test that theory. Just unbelievable that they would even do this. They must be really crooked if they want to silence people in this manner.

Looks like an obamaloon got offended by someone.

Unreal isn’t it?

Did you see the future voter in the background roll her eyes up like she zoning out on something?

I would be very interested to see if the cops even try to enforce this, or just tell whoever passed this law that it’s both illegal and unenforcable.

I guess if the 1st amendment rights are revoked,, we can always use the 2nd amendment ones.

Does anybody else notice a trend of creepiness in America lately? It’s getting weird out there,,,

I am curious what the ‘catalyst” was as stated in the video..what caused this? But I chuckled when these Obamatons were saying that the “govt cannot do this..”

According to the Arkansas Times, the mayor of Gould, Earnest Nash (pictured above), vetoed the ordinance for reasons having to do with the U.S. Constitution, which mentions freedom of speech and the right of assembly somewhere.

The only sane man in a town run by rejects and morons. The fact that the council thinks they can do this is all the proof you need to their competence.

“...I can’t imagine this will stand up in court...”

Speaking of standing up in court, do these folks have to take an oath of office? If so, is not perjury involved here somewhere?

There’s no Constitution, no 4th amendment—thus no 1st amendment.

Because politicos on all sides want to give local governments unlimited power while continuing the political propaganda focus on the federal government. Some local governments would hardly exist without the various kinds of large federal funding that they get. And lobbies for local governments are numerous and enormous.

I certainly hope that the city has a lot of cash reserve since the law suites that could be forthcoming could certainly overwhelm them.

Too bad the rest of this nation can’t sue Buckwheat and his bunch of commies. If we could, those same commies would probably tax us for the “income” after we win. Insane? Yup.

The Council is all Black, the town is 78% Black.

If I lived in this town, the day after it passed, I would organize a meeting to discuss city matters, then challenge the town goons to come after me, even with their union goon thugs! I would double-dare them!!

That’s what I figured. Any pastors on the council? Churches in the urban community don’t like grumbling in the church.

The Second Amendment follows right behind the First Amendment because some people are hard of hearing.
