THIS WEEK (ABC): Lew; Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Lew; Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.; former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
The MSM, as represented by the Dallas Morning News, has begun it’s campaign. the whole front section was full of lies, propaganda and slanted info.
The front page ... I cannot believe it — they pulled out that old chestnut — The Lady in the Wheel Chair. With picture. She may be under a bridge eating from the garbage cans soon if we don’t give in to Obama.
I believe those people may be using Michelle Obama’s fashion consultants.
Love Steyn. What show was he on?
You are truly doing the Lord’s work, bray.
The graph needs an upgrade. Instead of the legend “Democrats Take Control of Congress” it should say “Obama comes to DC.” Makes Obama the face of both the WH and the Senate in the 2012 elections and defuses the ‘blame Bush’ crowd.
Yes, I heard Marco Rubio on Rush last week and he was great. I may have to add him to my veep wish list.
(Not that it matters but Palin/Rubio would be the best looking ticket ever)
Yes, and besides the problem of Obama having tarnished the black image, is the fact that blacks feel no kinship or liking for conservative blacks.
They never have. Conservative blacks are totally off the radar for the average black voter. We would gain no votes there, not that we would with anyone.
They’re just getting more desperate by the second, ain’t they?
Worst part of all this demagoguery and BS is that most of the country recognizes it for exactly that and
has
started
to
keep
score
(Anybody noticed how The 0’s polls are sinking like a rock this past couple of weeks? If there are polls on the media’s performance, I’m sure they don’t look very good either.)
Only bad news in all this is considering the reaction from the libs if they keep getting even more frustrated and desperate.
Sounds to me like a good time to avoid major populations of libs and maybe spot check the inventories (food, water, ammo, gas....) again.
Thanks, y’all. Wikipedia went straight from college to public life and his website didn’t say either, so I wasn’t sure. Since he’s from a working-class background, I figured he had to had worked somewhere, even if flipping burgers at McD’s.
***Notice the deficit was declining each year after 04 until the Dems were in control of Congress.***
Anyone who uses this graph to talk to their mother-in-law, neighbor or book club colleague should make sure to point out that “everyone knows that spending did not go down during the Bush years, so Revenues Must Have Gone UP! after the Bush tax cuts. Perhaps “revenue” has to be explained for people who have not “been interested in politics” until now: taxes PAID by people who were working in those years.
Now money is being shoveled out from the Treasury to people who are not working, and no number of billionaires and corporate jet buyers can compensate for that fact.
Thanks altura, I pray the Holy Spirit is guiding my words. Just remember, one man can make a difference and they are terrified you will. They want you to believe you can’t make a difference so you will shut up and let them have the power.
Fish is learning that one man can make a difference with God to make real changes. She is making a difference in Deleware and I am doing it in Oregon. Become a PCP and change the Repub Party into a Conservative Party, you can make a difference since you understand Freedom.
Pray for America
“Actually Rubio is a Cuban American. “
But how many Cuban-Americans are there in the US? Not enough to swing anything.
Regarding a balanced budget amendment I would caution everyone:
If ever enacted (not likely but-), the Left would use it to advance programmatic tax hikes into law whenever budgets are out of whack.
These would be tax hikes that would never have to be voted on. They’d take effect automatically.
There are enough to swing Florida.
You are right.
The Mastermind Thugs know exactly what they are doing. The average Lib doesn’t get it...or subconsciously they want it too.
Good point.
That’s true.
You know I’ve been reading, various and yon, that this well intentioned Balanced Budget thing is fraught with problems.
The one you mentioned is new but interesting. I’m tempted to say that the pubs can just vote it down but what happens if the Dems own everything, which they just did?
Read some other pitfalls in it like how it can be “balanced” but what’s the punishment if it doesn’t end up right?
Thanks for this cause it’s important to not take any politician’s word for anything, Dem or Repub.
Getting re-elected is their first priority, not the greater good of thou or I.
In my opinion the House Republicans should pass large spending cuts and a 30 day extension in the debt limit; then we’ll go month by month, and Obama can request a spending increase and tax increase every month until November 2012. They want to keep spending? They can’t live without tax increases, then let’s hash it out every single month.
