AFTER-ACTION REPORT: The Undefeated! Orange, CA
July 15, 2011 | SoConPubbie

Posted on 07/16/2011 12:09:41 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

Wife and I joined approximately 150+- conservatives in the 7:00 showing of The Undefeated at the AMC Theatres in Orange, CA at The Block.

Movie was well received by all in attendance with many, many ovations culminating with a standing ovation and even some in tears because of the positive American message that was presented.

The movie was simply awesome!

It provided much more background on Sarah's executive experience with a strong emphasis on her limited government approach to government in general.

It covered her come from behind elections for both her campaigns for Mayor and Governor, as well as, her time on the Oil and Gas Commission of Alaska.

The movie also makes a great case as to why the GOP establishment fears her.

And finally, the movie really shows why those of us who have supported her really respect, for her sincerity. This came shining through.

An added bonus was Andrew Brietbart and Mark Levin simply excoriating the GOP Elite and leadership, particularly Brietbart calls them for what they are Eunuchs.

If anyone, with even an ounce of sincerity and a conservative bent can come out of this movie without either an enhanced positive opinion of her or a changed opinion from negative to positive, then that person is probably not sincerely a conservative.

Those of you who are naysayers of Palin or her supporters, do yourself a favor and go see the movie with an open mind, it will change you.

Those of you who think this movie will do nothing to further Governor Palin's popularity or acceptance by the mainstream, will probably change your opinion if you are brave enough and objective enough to go see the movie.

There was an Afterburner, organized by Organized4Palin, at the El Torito in the Mall parking lot. 40+ people showed up, including Tammy Bruce. Apparently there were similiar Afterburners after earlier showings as well.

The movie will play both Saturday and Sunday at this theatre and then I believe they are going to try and extend the run based on theatre attendance, which by the way, on a per-screen basis was only second to Harry Potter.

Rondog, EveningStar, and several other Freepers(whose names I have forgotten given my poor memory) were in attendance at the Movie and the Afterburner.

Abigail,

This bothered my wife and myself as well.

I have a live and let live attitude as long as a person’s lifestyle choice is not part of the picture.

However, I wonder how long they will be supporting Sarah when the issue of Gay Marriage comes up and Sarah’s lack of support for their position on the issue.

In the least, they should be in our Prayers that God himself would deliver them from the Moral and Spiritual disease and Sin that they are caught up in.

Flame me if you want, but why do we worry only about
homosexuality and not gambling, spouse abuse, drinking,
drug abuse, cheating on a spouse, licentiousness, envy,
theft, DUI, sharp practices, fornication, gluttony, avarice,
child abuse, sponging and 10,000 other sins and trangressions? Do you think that you aren’t judged on all those things just as a homosexual is on their particular sin? Do we deny someone the right to back a certain candidate if they’re not white as snow? Because that is the slippery slope that was mentioned earlier in the thread. Are some of the opinion that all Republicans are sinless except for homosexuals?

2DV,

Don't think I will flame you, however, I will provide you my opinion on the matter.

1. We should be concerned about all those matters.
2. We learn from the bible that Homosexuality is considered above other sins as an Abomination and is actually a condition given to those sinners who REPEATEDLY choose sin and selfishness over honoring God.(Romans Chap. 1). Furthermore, Romans Chap. 1 in describing the horribleness of this Sin, says that they not only delight in their own sin, but delight in making others sinners as well.
3. The other sins you have mentioned are not in the same category.
4. Those suffering from this sin HATE God, at least that has been my experience with those Homosexuals that I have become friends with.

“Absolutely, Paul is our best example! We need more Paul`s.

A person can not be a Christian until they have first been a sinner. Speaking as a sinner saved by the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Amen brother! I like that so much I’ll make it my screen name!

Maybe because there isn't a political agenda demanding acceptance for those sins and trying to take freedom away from those opposed to them?

You sound like a liberal.

If various groups of people come together to support a candidate, that does not mean that they support me or I support them. We both support Sarah. Her support for traditional marriage is well known to gays and lesbians. It must not matter to those who support her.

We have a candidate who will appeal to a wide audience. We can’t afford to make her a niche candidate. She is the kind of candidate that comes along about once every 50 years or so. She will drag these various conservatives, moderates, liberals, and independents, to her positions without compromising her values, much as Ronald Reagan did. I plan to work with whoever will help get Sarah Palin elected. The alternative is unacceptable.

Tammy Bruce is a HUGE supporter of Sarah Palin. She does a tremendous amount of promoting Palin.
She is also a huge fan of Ronald Reagan.
There seems to be a lot of conservative homos and ex-Hillary folks out there who support Sarah. They are fed outraged with the Dems and Marxists.

I think Sarah, like me, would say ‘people are people’, ‘live and let live’, and ‘the more support the better!’

I am a straight Christian Conservative and I am ashamed that a fellow ‘Christian’ would say “...there were people at the after-party who did appear to be gay and positions of promoting the event. What is going on here? Christian Conservatives are not going to be accepting of this sort of thing, nor should they be.”

I don’t think it very Christian to put yourself above anyone. That is my opinion and I am not going to argue about it.

That is all fine and good.

I will also work to make sure that Sarah Palin is elected, and as my posting history shows, I am one of the most vocal supporters of Governor Palin.

That being said, if there is ever a time when she becomes accepting of the Gay Agenda, Abortion, or any other moral/social issue, she will lose my support immediately.

I am a Christian first, and a conservative second. In fact, it is my Christianity that makes me a conservative.

Like I said earlier, as long as they want to keep their lifestyles and lifestyle choices to themselves, the more the merrier and I accept their support, otherwise, I don’t want to hear it.

No, can you give me a quick synopsis?

What is it about that book that you feel is relevant to this discussion?

My guide, as far as Christianity is concerned after the Bible, is the written works of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism.

If he were alive today, he'd be out burning down the sacrileges called Methodist churches.

Hi, thank you. I still love Sarah, but I wonder if “they” couldn’t get her by intimidation and lies and stuff now plan B is to drag her down by supporting her. aking her look like a hypocrite.l Not that Tammy hasn’t been ‘conservative’ for awhile. I wrote her at Sarah Pac and explained my reservations. I hope she reads it.

“: Relax, old friend. If they assassinate me, all of Sparta goes to war. “

I like the Obi-Wan “Become more powerful than you could ever imagine one too ;)

Part of me really hopes that the moonbats show up for maximum free publicity as per Bannon, but the other part is so sick to death of the BS of the ongoing lib/media PDS that I just wish people would go see it and take it in without having to deal with all the drama.

I’m familiar with Orange (lived there a year 79-80 on Batavia and went to Portola Jr high in 8th grade.) But I figured since LA is just around the corner that there would have been some showing of lib stupidity.

The curious lack of protests tells me that the lib strategy is now ‘ignore it and it will go away’ but it’s not going away. But if it goes into wide release or once the DVDs hit Wal Mart, Bannon may still get his ‘unearned media’ boost.

Regardless, glad you all had a great time ;)

Perhaps you haven’t been here long enough to know 2ndDivisionVet, but it might be in your best interest to check out some of his posts before deciding what he “sounds” like. Newbies judging fellow freepers is NOT a good way to win friends & influence people here. At the very least, you’ve garnered some folks watchful of your posts, including me. Never piss off a Marine mom...it won’t be pretty ;)

Indeed. I went from the ALC and LCA Lutheran churches as a child and young man to the United Methodist Church with my first wife. VERY liberal, almost counter-culture in some ways. We had a female pastor for awhile that always brought the subject around to HIV/AIDS no matter what she was preaching on! One male pastor was an avowed Marxist! I quit going, which created discord. As for Mere Christianity it is a short summation of religion from primitive to modern Christianity and explains it all in laymen's language. It's a classic.
