"The Undefeated," a glowing look at failed vice-presidential candidate and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has already sold out a show in Grapevine, Texas (population 46,000), according to the distributor Cinedigm.
Grapevine isn't exactly a teeming metropolis but the film is set to roll out across Tea Party country in 10 AMC theaters.
In addition to Grapevine, the documentary by conservative filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon will expand to Indianapolis, Ind.; Independence, Mo.; Kennesaw, Ga.; Houston, Texas; Orlando, Fla.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Highlands Ranch, Colo.; Phoenix, Ariz.; and Orange, Calif.
But Palin haters take heart. A rival documentary by British filmmaker Nick Broomfield has been screening for buyers in Los Angeles recently and offers a sharply critical look at the right-wing lightning rod....

Um, yeah, rooters, Grapevine is part of the metroplex, which is larger than at least one other whole state of the union.
It's a 30 minute drive (minimum) from downtown Grapevine to anywhere remotely considered rural.

Must have heard it thru the grapevine :-)
Now I need brain bleach.
Yeah, Grapevine is even popular with the deer and pigs.
Terrible traffic. Right in the middle of the Metromess. Most of DFW airport lies in Grapevine.
It may sound rural to outsiders, but tain’t so.
I consider Grapevine a major, high density part of the metroplex.
They act like its Ben Wheeler Tx
Do any of these reporters ever travel outside of DC, New York or LA?
It will take me about 30-35 minutes depending on traffic to reach the theater and I live in Far North Dallas. For someone in West/SW Ft Worth or Mesquite, McKinney or South Dallas, the drive might take 45-50 minutes depending on traffic and construction. I bet there will be a huge influx of traffic heading towards Grapevine over the next couple of weeks.
Its not the most convenient location, but if you had to pick only ONE location in the DFW area, it probably is one of the better choices.
How is the following relevant to this story: But Palin haters take heart. A rival documentary by British filmmaker Nick Broomfield has been screening for buyers in Los Angeles recently and offers a sharply critical look at the right-wing lightning rod.
There is no rivalry. Nick's film, if he finds distribution, will be a huge flop outside of LA and NY.
That’s because they have grapes.
This drought is murder on the poor critters. I have seen 3 deer in the past month.
They are moving into the city looking for food and water.
Dang, I hope that Saturday’s showing isn’t sold out. It’s my anniversary, and the wife and I want to catch the movie and celebrate our 16th with a nice dinner afterwards.
Totally unnecessary for the Rooters "journalist" to write this. I'm sure that this clod also mentioned the pro-Bush documentary when F9/11 was all the rage in DC.
DFW Airport alone is larger than Rhode Island.

I have tickets to the first show at 11AM in Grapevine. I live on the other side of Dallas (Garland), so we’ll be leaving about 9:30.
Let the haters hate. There’s nothing some dolt could write or show about her that hasn’t already been written or shown. They just want to mull over it again hoping they’ll pull up some poo. Actually - the fact that she’s good and honest and hard working and honest and good is enough poo for them since they don’t believe anyone could actually be good and honest. If we are lucky and she runs - she’ll be the most transparent candidate that we’ve had in some time.
I bought my 3 tickets (for myself, wife and friend) the day they went on sale. We live in Albuquerque and drove to Denver (staying with her sister) and tomorrow will attend in Highlands Ranch, CO. By the way, the movie is sold out in Highlands Ranch also.
HOW DRY IS IT?
A buddy out in Longview said he’d killed a mosquito that was carrying a canteen.
A man in Dime Box said the chicken farmers were giving the chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs.
In Lake Palestine they caught a 20 lb catfish that had ticks on it!
But just this week, in Bryan a fire hydrant was seen winking at a dog.
A rancher in West Texas said that when Noah built his ark and it rained forty days and forty nights...They got a half inch that year!
It’s so dry in Texas that the Baptists are starting to baptize by sprinkling,
the Methodists are using wet-wipes,
the Presbyterians are giving out rain-checks,
and the Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water.
Making mention of this left-wing hit movie is completely non sequitur to the article, but these people just can't help themselves. It's in their programming.
Now, I wonder... Where are the left-wing hit movies about Pawlenty, Romney, Bachmann, Perry, et al?
Does Nick Broomfield have his priorities backwards? Shouldn't he be jumping on the "leading" GOP candidates, instead of that hillbilly hockey mom with the funny accent from Alaska? Haven't the left and Karl Rove already told us a million times that she's not serious, and that she's not running, because she's not serious about running?
Seriously. Who cares about her anyway?
