Anita Perry doesn't look real happy. She doesn't look like she's having a good time.
I think I should invite her down to Giddy Ups beer joint near Manchaca and buy her a beer. I can make it all better for you, sweetheart. They have a jukebox AND a shuffleboard table.
No, seriously, did you see that photo of Texas' first lady on the front page of this newspaper on Wednesday? The photo was shot on Tuesday at Gov. Rick Perry's inauguration. It shows the Perrys marching out under some swords held aloft by Texas A&M's Ross Volunteers...
.....It's one of those looks you get when you're invited to lunch and find out they're serving tomato aspic. It's not quite as bad a look as the guy in "A Clockwork Orange" when they jam his eyes open to interrogate him. But it's close.
What's wrong, lady?
[big snip of snipping]
This is not to say that Anita Perry never smiles. Here's a picture of her and Rick on their wedding day. She has that goofy blissful look that all brides have when they realize they're about to get control of your credit cards.
But here's one that says, "Take me away from here before I begin to scream." It's a photo of Rick, really big toothy smile, and the first lady, looking like she has gas. At the time, in 2004, the two were attending the Austin Wranglers home opener. That's one way to make a woman happy, Governor. Take her to a minor league football game.
Oh well. I don't know the answer. I hope her life isn't as miserable as her face makes it look. Maybe it would help if Rick bought her some flowers. I'll bet the state would even pick up the tab.

I use it for cleaning windows - but only when I get a freebie thrown on the driveway.
I “love” the part when he describes a joyous bubbly Michelle Obama as contrast to Anita Perry.
The fact that she might not enjoy being the wife of a politician raises my respect for her.

Anita is holding a copy of the Austin Chronicle, the Extremely Radical Leftist weekly newspaper in Austin.
And she shoots.
You are a Perry supporter, so why would you post this? Even the Austin liberals took the columnist to task for the nastiness.
You risk people reading the comments at the link. Not nice for Perry.
Reading that would make you want to spit.

"Dont expect any Mitch Daniels-like concerns to keep Rick Perry out of the presidential race. In an interview with Janet Mefferd on the Salem Radio Network (owned by Salem Communications, also Hot Airs parent company), Perry told the audience that his wife is not only enthusiastically supporting the idea of a presidential bid, shes inspiring it. A former nurse, Anita Perry is disheartened about ObamaCare and the government intrusions into health care that have accelerated in this administration. While Perry says that being governor of Texas is one of the great jobs in the world, hes feeling the call to get out of his comfort zone:" Source
John Kelso and Ben Sergeant are the heart of the AAS. They like Molly Ivins always catered to the liberal base in Austin and are the reason we quit getting the paper years ago.
Whatever you say. I just don’t think you did your man any good by posting it.
I’m not a Perry supporter. I’ve voted for him repeatedly, but he’s let me down too many times. I don’t trust him, and I certainly don’t think he’s what this country needs.
That said, if he connives his way onto the ticket, I’ll vote for him. So it’s best that you not post any more bad-marriage gay-governor rumors, OK?
Perry worries me greatly, but his personal life is not an issue, so far.
John Kelso is a complete assh0le. One of the few writers I won’t read past the byline on.
I’m glad she posted it because I never saw pictures of her before.
I would vote for Perry in a nano-second.
And I like Palin.
Jed is pushing the limits of opinion mongering, IMHO.
John Kelso is an ass. Thankfully he’s “retiring”, tho’ I’ll still have to ignore one column a week of his spewage.
You’ve got that right!
John Kelso (Austin American Statesman aka Leftie City)

“A small squalid desk covered with trash. At the desk sits a man from Maine who pretends to be a Texan named John Kelso. He is a frustrated small time liberal writer who wonders how he came to such a low end. Sitting here inside the belly of a dying dinosaur newspaper with the end of his career in sight he comes up with a plan. He will attack the number one media personality in America, Rush Limbaugh. He will challenge Rush to a fistfight.”
hee hee hee I want to watch that fight! hee hee hee
Thank you because I'm sure you've been dying to bring it up and this POS commentary in the AAS was designed to draw out comments such as yours.
So here goes:
"STOP SPAMMING THE IDIOTIC PERRY IS GAY STORY!!!"
"You keep posting the part of the story with the salacious rumors, but conveniently leave out the part where they never find any evidence that there is any truth to the story!
The part you purposely omit...
For the record, Naked City looked into the Perry rumors when they first surfaced some weeks ago inevitably accompanied by the warning, The divorce papers are being filed today! and found no evidence of any truth to any of them, whatsoever. Amid much finger-pointing about who was the original source (and which political party he or she belongs to), nobody will go on the record. The governor's office (perhaps understandably) refuses any and all comment beyond a one-sentence statement from Perry spokesperson Kathy Walt: These are false, malicious, and hurtful rumors, and the Chronicle's own investigation acknowledges that fact.
We also know that numerous other reporters, from here to New York, have looked into the rumors, with, as far as we know, an identical lack of results. Nor do we expect anything we say here to have any effect on the rumors, which have become entirely self-replicating as they echo through the blogosphere." Source

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison's 2010 campaign primary challenge against Gov. Rick Perry (that she lost) had this gossip on her website too (or it directed you to some msm gossip) and her campaign had to apologize (didn't know how that happened!!??) and removed it.
So please stop being so "cute" about your whispering campaign. If you have something to say and can prove it. DO IT. Or have the decency to stop spreading lies.
I find it interesting that the MSM and/or opponents of a conservative pull the "gay" question like clockwork to see how it's received and treated.
Like LBJ's remark about another politician's "love" of farm animals: When told it wasn't true, LBJ laughed, "Hell, I know it's not true! I just want to hear him deny it."
And so, you want to hear Rick Perry deny it.
Thanks for the pic, Anita Perry is as pretty inside as she is on the outside.
She nursed my grandfather before he died and is one of the kindest sweetest ladies in Texas. And we have a wealth of such women.
The Slime Kelso needs to pick someone else to poke at. If he wants a fight (like was mentioned with Rush) I will be glad to oblige the idiot. Any time Any Place.
She is a grand lady and Kelso is a slimy maggot leftie.
