I have friends in and from Mumbai.

They are the nicest and most solicitous people I have ever had the pleasure to encounter. Every interaction has always started with “how are you doing and how can I help you (not just business, but how can I help you personally).

The Indian approach to life is very personal, in a good way. Business relationships extend beyond just the tasks at hand.

My heart was in my throat when I heard of the Mumbai attacks — I am pleased to report my friends are OK as are their families.

Of course they are angry — and exasperated — about these attacks.

God bless them, one and all. We as a Nation should thank God for our friends in India and wish for their peace.

I don't know if I'm more enraged or saddened. These things just shouldn't happen.

For the most part, the Pakistanis get off scot free; they can dish it out but they squeal when they get a pin prick, like the Osama raid.
