WELCOME TO
Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our
AWESOME
Military, our Allies, and their families.
Thank you, Connie, for preparing the Canteen for today's activities.
Loved the story on the war dogs,
especially would love to hear more about Cairo and how he cornered Binny.
Excuse me while I do something a little different on the DC Metroland weather report
~ Today...Sunny. Highs in the mid 80s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight...Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 60s. Southeast winds around 5 mph.
Friday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 80s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
Friday Night...Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 60s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 80s.
Saturday Night...Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 60s.
Sunday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 80s.
Sunday Night...Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 60s.
Now, that's what I'm talking about!
We had one heck of a thunder storm roll through just about the time I got home.
But, after it was over we were 10 degrees cooler.
Lovely morning with temps
Don't be jealous and don't hate me for gloating. hehe.
Looks like it's time for another installment of
DID YOU KNOW?
The Untouchables, which debuted in 1959 and starred Robert Stack, was the most violent television show of its time. It became the target of more protests from viewers than any other regular TV series. To this day, it is the only TV program ever boycotted by mobsters over unfair treatment.
In Armenia, the traditional Christmas Eve meal consists of fried fish, lettuce, and spinach. The meal is traditionally eaten after the Christmas Eve service, in commemoration of the supper eaten by Mary on the evening before Christ's birth.
In 1986, a guard in an armored car was killed when $50,000 worth of quarters fell on him.
In southern France, some people burn a log in their homes from Christmas Eve until New Years Day. This stems from an ancient tradition in which farmers would use part of the log to ensure a plentiful harvest the following year.
I'll have to post and run.
Going to gym.
Will have to make my rounds when I get back.
But, you stay right where you are. Keep the troops entertained and the Canteen clean...Cause...if you don't...I'll tell Ma!
Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS
PLEASE REMEMBER THEM ....

Hope you all are doing well. It’s been a great summer so far. Coastie was here for 3 weeks. That went by way too fast! We sure miss him and wish he was closer.
Busy these days with some things but doing ok. I miss ya all very much :)
HUGS
Good morning to all you canteeners, cubies, newbies & troops! I hope you’re all happily pulling off your Band-aids and eating your peas!
((HUGS))Good morning, GodBlessUSA. How’s it going?
Good morning to you too. We are in for day #13 in a row over 100 which will make 31 days this year.
Good morning ladies and (((HUGS))).
Hope you have had rain. Feel awful for LuvW. No rain for something like 8 months. I hate that we haven't had it for couple weeks.
It’s going pretty good, Thanks! :) How are you? Getting to the lake much? We are walking during the evening. It’s been to hot for my dog during the day. Today we should take a longer walk. It’s lovely out.
We have had little rain since last October. The total for July is a trace.
Some areas around here got some rain yesterday. Unfortunately we didn’t get any rain here in Comanche. Today’s forecast high is 108.
Our area has not had rain and when it shows up it’s north south and east of us. Yesterday we could see the storm off to the North. LOL Figures. Now I have to water all. ;) Not too bad to do when so nice out though.
