NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Buffeted by high taxes, strict regulations and uncertain state budgets, a growing number of California companies are seeking friendlier business environments outside of the Golden State. And governors around the country, smelling blood in the water, have stepped up their courtship of California companies.

Come on over, friend. Texas is where it’s at!!! Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Amarillo, etc. are all doing very well compared to the rest of the USA. Yes, it’s hot and sticky in the summers, but free enterprise and private business are alive and thriving in the Lone Star state. Bring your talent, your skill, your hard work and help make us stronger every day!!!

They keep saying that things cannot get any worse and that the liberals will wake up and throw the Democrats out themselves.

Yea right. They have been saying that for 20 years.

I’m real happy I live in Texas, and I’m not sure I want any of you Californians moving here. You guys already screwed up Colorado and Montana. We don’t need you screwing Texas up too.

Maybe we should give every person moving from California, NY, Michigan, Illinois, and every New England state a test to see if they know what the constitution says.

To tell the truth, I think I would rather deal with illegals from Mexico instead of idiots from California.

Hi!

Remember that Irving Tx is like part of Dallas now. You are welcomed though. We just got rid of our bad Mayor Herbert Gears “friend of ACORN” and replaced him with Mayor Beth Van Duyne, the conservative blonde bombshell.

“That is about to change, at least if Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom has anything to say about it. Newsom is developing a plan to address the state’s economic Achilles heels, and build on its strengths. It will be unveiled at the end of July.”

Oh please! Look in the mirror Gav...California’s Achilles Heel is You, the Governor, the State Legislature, AQMD, CARB, EPA, All Unions, etc...

And you fine folk are a large part of why am looking forward to my move.

The time I spent in TX was always great because of the people there. Stereotypes of Texans being insular are just wrong — they are the warmest and most helpful and welcoming people I have had the pleasure to be with.

And that Texas stubbornness is a joy to behold. I am sure it comes as no surprise to you that in Texas I saw my first “home made offramp” from the highway when there was an accident blocking traffic. A bunch of trucks just pulled off and made a ramp across the berm to the frontage road, followed by many.

Well, I hope you will put up with me and my 6 figure income and strong work ethic. I will try to make it worth your while somehow...

“To tell the truth, I think I would rather deal with illegals from Mexico instead of idiots from California”.

T-Hawks,

I understand your viewpoint. However, those fleeing CA are the fiscally productive according to the article (you read it?). Not sure you can say that about the onslaught of friendly amigos you wax favorably about.

I wish your son all the best.

Hearing stories like that of your Son really does break my heart. California could be economic power house (and it was for many years), but liberal policies and regulations are killing that state. This is why a good many businesses are moving to States like Florida and Texas...where people know how to treat employers!

As I said, I wish there was a magic way to make JUST the liberals suffer the effects of their destructive policies.

Sure, but like I said, do not be insulted if we give you a constitution test...LOL

I reallly wish we could do that.

Hey, the Supreme Court only said a state we cannot give a test to a person to see if they are qualified to vote.

They never said anything about whether or not we can test those who want to move here.

After all, we should have a right to check everyone’s patriotic credentials before we allow them to move in.

Wouldn’t you agree?

LOL

Yea, but no one looks for missing illegals....

Just sayins is all.

There is a lot of desert ground out there, and ants can clean up the environment real fast.

Dear Texas:

If we had gotten our butts kicked as hard as you did by a much of illegals at the Alamo, at least we wouldn’t brag about it.

Love,
California

I am OK with that! I think I would do pretty well, especially since Texas (and my workplace here in VA) are the strongest supporters of the most important Amendments: 1, 2, 9 and 10. (yeah the rest of the BOR are pretty good, but without 1 and 2 we have nothing and 9 and 10 tells the feds to leave the freedoms to our States and People!).

Do I pass? ;) :)

fleeing companies trampling illegal aliens that were fleeing Arizona to go to California

There's the classic trade-off--parasites flooding in, entrepreneurs scrambling to get out.

California gets what it has coming.

“They hope to change the perception...”

Well, if the problem didn’t exist, the perception would just take care of itself, right? Wouldn’t it be better to address the root cause? What am I missing here?

Actually, that was a bunch of Kentuckians that got slaughtered, but they were a bit over matched.

The real Texans, my ancestors, got revenge for them volunteers from the East and kicked Santa Anna’s ass.

You might need a history test before you are allowed to move to Texas my FRiend.

“California gets what it has coming.”

Backatcha! So do you, wherever you live! Do you live in the South? Have a nice flood!

Or maybe you live in the midwest. Have a nice tornado! And an even better crop failure!

Eastern Seaboard — Dig those trendy flash mobs!

Florida, the Carolinas — Can’t wait for video from the next hurricane!

New England? The Kennedys have plenty of kids coming up to run for public office! How fun for you!

Best of luck with all that! You deserve it!

Love,
California
