ORLANDO, Fla. -- Authorities were looking into allegations of witness tampering during Casey Anthony's murder trial, a Florida sheriff said Tuesday during a wide-ranging news conference with his top investigators in what he said was an effort to bring closure to a case that polarized the country.

“Whoever had the idea to trust societys fate to twelve ordinary citizens? Everyone knows how stupid ordinary citizens are. They cant be trusted with any kind of decision making. Much better to have elected politicians make these kind of decisions.”
Straw Man argument...
It’s a great idea. The best available...these particular 12 just weren’t up for the task of actually doing their jobs and looking at the evidence. Lazy morons.
“You are one sick puppy if you dont understand that the Prosecutor did not provide a single bit of evidence that linked Casey to the death or disposal of her daughter.”
So, you didn’t watch the trial?
I think she did it. But the prosecution has to prove their case to the jury.
And frankly I like it that way. Because if I'm ever on trial, I want the prosecution to prove to the jury that I did it.
If you want your case to be decided by Joy Behar's audience, or a poll on Free Republic, you go for it.
Our local paper reported that on the first ballot for manslaughter there were 6 for guilty and 6 for not guilty. Within 10 hours they had all swung to not guilty.
There is someting wrong if 6 people changed their vote in such a short time without the usual requests for evidence review and clarification, questions to the judge, etc. I would expect a serious review and deliberation taking at least 3 to 4 days. Only 10 hours is a joke.
I can't imagine a scenario where I could be talked into changing my view from guilty to not guilty considering the preponderance of circumstantial evidence that went unchallenged in a serious way by the defense.
To me the defense consisted of unfounded "what if's" and slinging crap all over the walls to see how much would stick.
LOLOL! You don’t have a clue.
Did you hear the jury foreman say George was suspicious? LOLOL! George was NEVER, repeat NEVER a suspect. The idiot jury bought Bozo’s lies hook, line and sinker, and I hope that George Anthony sues the daylights out of the defense “dream team”.
“Is it any wonder that the jury discounted that fantasy forensic junk presented by the Prosecution?”
That’s my point. The jury hears ONLY the trial material and must decide based on that.
The rest of us hear SOME of the trial, and the other 90% of input is TV analysis, Internet posts, endless speculation (o thin data) from talk radio and the pop press.
I was very surprised to hear that a hair sample showed “signs of decomposition”, for example. I read the Journal of Forensics every other month and have never heard of that particular item.
And say I asked you to sniff something, would you say “gee, that smells like chloroform”? If so, might I ask when you smelled a reference sample? In other words, since chloroform has been tightly regulated for some time now, when would you have had a chance to smell real chloroform to know what a car in a tow impound smelled like?
I don’t know who was the more stupid, the jury, or the prosecution?
You’re wrong and deluded. Deal with it.
Go back to watching CSU. What more did they need. Eyewitnesses and a confession. She was guilty but I guess you are OK with child murderer being let free.
Who is Joy Behar?
TV talker on HNN and “the View” whose show was devoted to Casey Anthony 24/7/365.
Never watch it.
No suspicious deaths around me, but if something ever did happen my wierd searches would likely help make me look guilty...whether I was or not.
