When liberals act like hypocritical pigs, they are defended by the media. When conservatives....

How does Alice Lichtenstein know that Michelle keeps her weight constant and exercises regularly?

Outrage over hypocrisy is a juvenile emotion.
It supposes that no ideal should be sought unless it has already been attained.

"[This is an] unfortunate invasion of privacy for Mrs. Obama," said Alice Lichtenstein, professor of nutrition science and policy at Tufts School of Medicine in Boston. "She has kept her weight constant and engages in regular physical activity. An occasional indulgence is fine. For many people, that is what helps them keep on track most of the time." Hey, Alice, are you really a professor of nutrition science and policy or are you a shill for Michelle Obama?

Fine! She can quit invading my privacy by telling me what to eat!

You don’t get a butt like that without a fry or two daily.

“[This is an] unfortunate invasion of privacy for Mrs. Obama,” - But she can invade the privacy of everyone else’s eating habits, right?

The Whitehouse press corp meals are catered every day by the administration. The whitehouse kitchen makes up their meals. The press will not risk that perk.
Oddly enough.........Is there a line on their w-2's for income from all these meals?

People actually are inherently consistent, even if that consistency consists only of indulging their whims.
However, with the left, their consistency isn’t about whims, it’s about furthering collectivist/communist control of the world.
Mickey’s “hypocrisy” just demonstrates that she is “special”, of the ruling class, and that everyone else needs to be told what to eat.

"[This is an] unfortunate invasion of privacy for Mrs. Obama," Literally digging through Sarah Palin's garbage is considered justifiable. Catching Moochelle in a hypocritical moment is unfortunate.

It may be juvenile, but IMO outrage over the hypocrisy of these would-be totalitarians is a healthy thing.
Anything that drives up their negatives is God-sent.

Your comparison is deceitful.
If it was a case of not measuring up to one’s own aspirations you would have a point. The hypocrisy here is that she dictates to others while utterly disregarding those decrees herself. Disgust and contempt for her hypocrisy is completely justified, just as they are for your sophistry.
