Quiet, quieter, resigned did not complete term. All the same, it is what happened.
Well, since the White House has even more of this, I guess she’ll refuse to run for President if this is true. We’ll see.
That she quit, nobody doubts. But then, most of us favor term limits because we discern that while Democrats go to Washington to do well, even a Republican who goes there to do good will, over time, get co-opted into doing well more than good.Governor Palin simply recognized that altho she was motivated to do good, the Alinskyite attacks forced her to devote all her, and the state government's, energy to keeping from personally doing badly.
Consequently she unexpectedly terminated her term. She could, of course, have made a radical left turn and perhaps have been able to stay in the governor's mansion . . .But that would have been simply trying to do well - and Gov. Palin has on more than one occasion transcended that. Back at the start of 2010 I evaluated the situation we would be in now, and I concluded then that our main concern should be to get ahead of the Romney campaign - and that the only way to do that was for conservatives to rally around a single good candidate. And I concluded that Gov. Palin was good enough, and "better" would be the enemy of good enough. That's when I adopted my current tagline:
Draft Palin If the Republican Party can nominate a John McCain, we have to fight to avoid doing a lot worse than Palin.
Incredible spinning for the Trademark. Utterly humorous nonsense. What’s even funnier is that some will embrace it as if it had meaning.
"Palin found other, small ways to stay in circulation. She appeared on statewide television in an ad for Spenard Builders Supply."
Isn't Spenard the company that financed Todd's race team and built their house for them (at least partially)? Didn't Palin() give them the multi-million dollar Ice-Rink contract?
Semi-atlassy ping. Looking at Gov. Palin’s trajectory through an AS lens.
Get back under your bridge.
Not always a bad thing.
Philosophy may attract some people to vote. But a candidate must energize people.
Look at how Arnold became gov. of Call lee forn nee yah.
Look how we have this teleprompter reader as president.
They carried no philosophical message, but carried the people’s emotions.
If you work sales, you understand that people buy/don’t buy from emotion, not logic.
You must excite people. The republican candidate, unlike the democrat candidate, must carry philosophy as well as excitement. That person is Sarah Palin, who stands above the other suits.
She should team up with Marco Rubio. That would be one heck of a ticket.
About her quitting ... It was the smart and unexpected thing to do. If people turn against her for getting out of an untenable situation they are very short sighted and it is always easy to criticize others. What have the rest of us been doing. Have you ever quit a job?
She is not corrupted as is most every politician in Washington or state or city government all over America. She stands for what she believes and has clear vision of what is happening. She loves Alaska, America and God. We could not possibly have a better candidate for President or Senator or Secretary of State. Only the last two require to much bowing before other nations, and the pressures of your cohorts.
She would be great on the Supreme court ... if she were willing to do it. I know, I know she is not a lawyer or a judge, already. She has handled the personal attacks in a very excellent manner. She is not afraid to take on the big ole boys.
I will vote for Sarah . Hopefully she will choose to run.
America is on the brink of disaster. We must get the progressive liberals out of power positions, and RINO"S too.
Brilliant!
PDS!
I like Rubio, but I would prefer a Palin/West or West/Palin ticket. West has nothing but foreign policy and military experience (and is, coincidentally, a redleg). They are both outsiders and they both know we need to fundamentally restore our republic.
Rubio knows how to work a legislature and, more importantly, how to get a legislative body to revamp a tax code.
Unfortunately for both of us, West, Rubio and Palin are not running.
My biggest concern for Palin is that I think she saw the inner workings of presidential politics and how corrupt the office has become and decided it was not for her. Is it better to have her on the outside as the pressure on those who claim to be restoring the republic? Right now, I’m not sure.
Rubio is competent and carries a good marketing angle. He will excite many Californians, New Mexicans, Texans.....
Duncan Hunter USMC, WHATS he doing, where does he stand on the issues?
I like Duncan Hunter - - but the reality is a party HAS to appeal to the Hispanic vote or YOU WILL LOSE.
What, am I proposing Ron Paul or Ross Perot? I propose that the Republicans nominate the person who recusitated the McCain Campaign - at least until McCain pulled the plug on himself by stopping his campaign to debate TARP - and then announcing that his opponent would make a good president!!It's rare that the VP choice has a big effect on the election, and McCain could have lost just as well without her - but it was embarrassing to be unable to campaign without your VP along to draw the crowd.
So, compared to the prospect of a gaggle of equally, or more, flawed conservatives which would risk paving the way for Romney we should have just drafted Paling to start with.
