Its funny, I was thinking the same thing. When I saw the headline for the story, I clicked because I wanted to see the picture. For just half a second, I wondered if Newsweek would allow FR to show it. Then I actually laughed out loud. More people have clicked on this picture on FR than will EVER see it on the Newsweek site.
They are such losers.....
Reagan did NOT color his hair.
I met him in 1980. His hair was salt-and-pepper—most of it light brown, and about 1/3 of it gray. In photographs taken at that time (color and b&w) his hair looks much darker than it did in person. Nothing to do with dye.
No you didn’t stutter but for those of us who don’t know the intricacies of Alaskan law a little clarification would be helpful.
interesting how the LSM juxtaposes the evil “voldemort” right next to palin.
it is a typical msm trickery.
I think George W. Bush aged the most in office. God knows, he had reason.
They have not been polling likely Republican Primary voters, they have been polling "Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents".
There's a huge difference there.
If the American electorate is so hopeless, why do Democrats have to cheat to win?
Why do Democrats scream bloody murder everytime efforts are made to require photo ID to vote? Why do Democrats bus homeless to voting stations to vote? Why do Democrats descend on old folks' homes and places where mentally disabled live in order to "help" them exercise the franchise? Why do Democrats like Al Franken find mysterious "lost ballots" in the trunks of cars? Why do Democrats do their damndest to disenfranchise those in the military who vote from overseas? Why do Democrats stoop to counting chads? Why do Democrats have such a longstanding reputation for reaping so many votes from DEAD people? Why do Democrats have to create wildly gerrymandered districts (example: Lois Capps' district in California, an astonishingly narrow strip, less than a mile wide in some cases, that runs about 150 miles all the way from Hearst Castle, along Pismo Beach, Santa Barbara, Ventura -- some of the very choicest and priciest real estate in the world)?
WHY?
Because most of the AMERICAN ELECTORATE is too smart to vote for liberal Democrats, that's why. DEMOCRATS HAVE TO CHEAT TO WIN because if they didn't, THEY'D LOSE.
The MSM is like a Las Vegas magician in creating very convincing illusions. They make it look JUST LIKE somebody is being sawn in half on stage, or they make it look JUST LIKE an elephant disappears into thin air. But those are illusions, fake, manufactured. A house made of balsawood may LOOK like a solid home, but it is GUARANTEED to collapse where a true home will stand strong. REALITY catches up.
The REALITY is that over the past 40 years, a liberal minority has fraudulently seized power over a conservative majority in America. That majority has bought into the illusion that they're the minority for awhile and therefore accepted fraudulent election results as legit, but REALITY is catching up. Guys like Al Franken and Barney Frank, and probably nearly every other very liberal socialist Democrat, are frauds -- NO ONE elected them. Their popularity, like Obama's popularity, is FAKE, an illusion put forth by the MSM.
The MSM and vote fraud can fake popularity and fake election victories, but they cannot fake reality. The reality is that LIMITED GOVERNMENT 'CONSERVATIVES' ARE THE MAJORITY, and socialist liberals are the minority. What we see happening in American politics today is reality catching up -- what we see happening is that balsa wood "home" collapsing under the weight of reality.
and have a splash about the evil (fictional) Voldemort right next to her.
“Willem Dafoe isnt a man, is he?”
...yes he is and it wasn’t meant as a jab to Palin.
If she's created a network of precinct, county and other GOP leaders, then that's huge. In which case, she has a very good chance to win Iowa if she jumps in, since it's all about organization and GOTV there. A win in Iowa, and I would suspect S. Carolina, would propel her into Super Tuesday with some good momentum.
Like I said earlier, I'm not 100% convinced she's going to run, but if she does, this is going to give her a leg up on everyone and makes it a Romney vs. Palin race (no one else matters at that point except as a drag on them, imho).
As someone who photoshops pictures for a living, I will tell you what they did:
The white balance is a little hot. The grey sweatshirt is good, but the stark sunshine “blows out” the rest of her face. It is pretty harsh for a woman’s portrait.
Then they did selective sharpening. We usually do that when we want a particular part of a photo to “stand out.” For example, we sharpen teeth, edges of clothes, sometimes hair, and often the eyes. I do it on sports uniforms because the little “mesh shirts” stand out nicely.
They did it to her neck and hands—usually areas on women that are softened. You sharpen the cuffs, and soften the hands. The contrast brings out the softness of the hands because you are drawn to lighter parts of the image.
Newsweek covers are ALWAYS touched up some how. Photographers do not have to be that GOOD these days, I know I’m not the best lighting guy in the business...but I can take clear braces off 12 year old girl’s teeth. And that is a nice trick.
SPOT ON! The more you look, the uglier and more manlike it appears. The first bad shot I’ve ever seen of her. Gee, on Newsweek? Must have just been a freak accident.
>>Take a close look at it. It almost looks like a mans face.
It’s an election to decide the leader of the free world, not a beauty contest! If they tried to make her look mannish, all they suceeded in doing is making her look statesmanlike in the Margaret Thatcher mold. We need an Iron Lady at the helm.
I’m no Palinista, but that photo is inspiring.
I wonder what his favorite colour is?
When my son and I met up with the her America Tour in Gettysburg and only standing a few feet from her, it is very obvious how thin she really is.
Her BMi must be extremely low.
Bachman is the paid palin blocker.
Romney spent $90 million in his 2008 campaign.
Didn’t work out so well.
As far as I'm concerned, you already have. A long time ago. Cool thing is, you keep winning.
