John Boehner Statement On Practically Agreeing To A Debt Ceiling Hike

Statement by Speaker Boehner on Debt Limit Discussions

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) released the following statement today regarding ongoing debt limit discussions with the White House:

"Despite good-faith efforts to find common ground, the White House will not pursue a bigger debt reduction agreement without tax hikes. I believe the best approach may be to focus on producing a smaller measure, based on the cuts identified in the Biden-led negotiations, that still meets our call for spending reforms and cuts greater than the amount of any debt limit increase."

Zero Hedge translation: in two weeks we get news of no tax hikes, and no deficit reduction, which will be spun by the great diversionary media machine as the great compromise, and, of course, leading to a $2.5 trillion debt ceiling hike. Win, win for everyone. Except America's people of course, but who gives a rat's ass about them: certainly not their "elected" muppets, all of which are for sale to the highest Wall Street bidder.

Rick Santelli nails the Libtard b*st*rds in this OUTSTANDING RANT. Watch is colleagues at CNBC squirm in agony as he blows the other side away. Note their lack of rebuttal. Enjoy.

Why do you think Pelosi was involved in the talks?

Pelosi will deliver enough RAT votes along with Bonehead’s RINO’s to pass this deal, bypassing the conservatives. That’s my prediction.

I have a problem:

The house controls all expenditures.

If the house refuses to allow spending beyond a certain number, the president is out of luck.

So why all of this wasted time, hot air, BS., etc.

The house should simply say “You will get $xxx and don’t bother us with any more foolishness.”

And that would be that.

Boehner should tell them he won’t consider revenue changes until the Democrats pass the spending cuts they’d promised Reagan and Bush1.

The bipartisan socialists at all levels of politics and government supported business are buying time, because they’ve panicked and won’t find an answer. Use the time to prepare yourselves and your loved ones. The eventual default will leave them with virtually no time or money for politics. That will be the opportunity to find and elect better leadership.

Panic. No past history yes.

What part of the deal Bonehead cut on the “continuing resolution” that promised 33 billion in cuts, but ended up being @355 million do you not REMEMBER?

Past history is a good indicator of future actions. Maybe you don’t mind being hoodwinked. A lot of us do mind.

So, lemmesee . . . . . . since the Bonehead was elected Speaker of the House, we’ve gone from a $100 Billion cut in spending to a $60 million cut in spending, to caving on a $2 Trillion debt ceiling increase.

And, we wanted a conservative victory last November because . . . . . . . . . . ????
