Thanks Colofornian. I don’t do the LDS threads anymore because I just don’t have the time nor energy any longer.
Far as Romney goes... I call him “Plastic Man” at home...mostly because of his perfectly groomed Ken doll hair. If the guy would just take a firm stance on something...
He’s also a typical politician. He’ll say “I’m a life long hunter” but has only hunted squirrels once or twice growing up. No that isn’t a life long hunter. Besides that the 2nd Amendment isn’t about hunting.
“I am firmly pro-life”...except in cases of rape, incest, etc. No that isn’t “firmly” pro-life. That’s pro-life with exemptions. And even with those you aren’t fully truthful because your RomneyCare allows tax payer funded elective abortions.
I do not support Romney particularly as a candidate. I do however support ANY candidate running against Obama in order of priority. Same as I did in 2008. Romney was near the bottom of my list in 2008. Only McCain was below him. Everyone else got knocked out or dropped out as the process went along.
This time around pretty much the same thing, except starting with LT Col Allen West and/or Sarah Palin at the top (yes I know neither are running). And all the way down there at the bottom is Mitt Romney.
All that said, IF it’s Romney Vs Obama in 2012 you can bloody well bet I’ll be voting Romney because I want Obama OUT of The White House two years ago.
Romney, as misguided liberal RINO as he is, he at least loves the USA, unlike the incompetent boob that’s running the show now.

And I will not vote for Romney under ANY circumstances. If he gets the nomination, I will leave the party because they have already left me.
I have held my nose and voted for far too long, McCain was the LAST time.
I was debating several months ago about whether or not to vote for Romney, and praying for guidance. That Sunday, the sermon my pastor gave was how Christians should never, ever, ever compromise. I took it as an answered prayer.
I will not compromise this time, I cannot do it anymore. I sure as hell don’t want Obama for a second term, but rather than hold my nose and vote, I will do my best to make sure he doesn’t get the nomination.
Sorry to hear that. I've enjoyed a number of your frank posts in years past. You are seemingly a more transparent person than many other Lds I've encountered.

Yes, where he belongs; but shooting him up to the top if he gets the nod is no answer, either...in fact, it could be the demise of the GOP! (A political civil war, if you will)
