Rush has gotten wiser about scandals too. He’s let this one develop to a point where there is so much evidence that when he talks about it, it is a slam-dunk.
Melson’s testimony on the record, with his private attorney, is a BIG deal. Really, it is. The DOJ had already lined up a DOJ counsel to rep Melson on the meeting with Congress scheduled for 7/13/2011. Melson short-circuited that entire process with his own counsel in a meeting where the DOJ was NOT in attendance. What he said in this meeting is not in the hands of the DOJ. They don’t know what he said.
Now, anyone with an experience with lawyers and legal depositions knows that there is only one reason for these actions of Melson’s this week: To get his story, the facts as he knows them, into the hands of investigators before the DOJ can color the facts against him. When there’s real nuggets of incriminating stuff out there, the first guy to talk and make a deal that leads to more incriminating evidences gets the best deal. Once the big facts are known, other people looking for a deal don’t have much to bargain with.
To me, the developments this week mean that Melson sees there is real danger to him here - not just of a career ended early, but of real civil and possibly criminal liabilities, and he simply cannot trust anyone else will defend his interests.

I have been highly suspicious of utilization of threatening tactics by the Leftists now in power to keep their troops in line. There have been too many people I’ve thought highly of that I don’t think that highly of anymore, and I’m therefore suspicious of the reason(s) they would begin chanting in the staccato of rat.
That said my point: He probably thought it a good idea to jump the interview date forward in effort to expose their ploy before they had a chance to Ron Brown him.
There's more danger to him than what you listed here. I hope he has a secure hidey-hole to hide out in for a while before they see him on a parking garage camera, wandering around with one shoe in his hand before he disappears.
I heard it...and absolutely believe it. Hillary was among those calling for tighter gun control and that American weapons were finding their ways into these drug lords’ and gangs’ hands. To think that OUR government or at least some rogues within the adminstration were behind it, is most despicable and sadly, believable. I’m not saying whehter I’m willing to go so far as to say she was directly involved...but it at keast goes as high as Holder. I DO believe that he would stoop that low, not so sure about Hillary. Either way, Americans died and these operatives deserve to hang for it.
What I find poetic is that he testified during the break..the one Obama shamed the COngress and Senate to pass on, so that they could work on the budget. Fixed that wagon, didn’t he?
He spent time on it. Maybe not as much as you would have liked, but this thing is growing bigger by the day. Trust me, he's only getting started on this topic.
The BATF are revenue enforcers gone berserk. If anyone thinks these bass turds won’t come for our guns when the “man” sez sick’em boys, just ask David Koresh. Never mind. He, along with around 80 other men, women,children, and infants, wound up dead after the BATF assaulted them, in a military style operation.
It’s been a long time since the Waco assault. So, once again, they gotta do something to justify their budget.

I wouldn’t be so fast to conclude no one will be hurt. The news taday that the BATF in Puerto Rico allowed shipments of guns to Honduras opens up another avenue. This one could be seen as an Obama move to destabilize a country that rid itself of a Marxist who would be king. Now, as there are already indications that the BATF was involved in more than one country, what is next? Guatemala?
It occurs to me that the Kalashnikov AK-47 is the Fender Stratocaster of the close assault rifle. Hundreds of copy versions, some legit, some not so.
Oh. My. God. Are we saying that the ONLY guns going from the US to arm the cartels were FROM THE FRICKIN GOVERNMENT????? Because I never heard of this alleged reverse smuggling until after this junta usurped the government.
Remember Rush says he only talks about the issues that are in the news. He has said that for 20 years and for the most part that seems to be the case.
And then publicly accused this government operation as an outright attack on The 2nd Amendment.
Lots of people are dead here as a result. This is big stuff.
