The Brody File has learned that The Family Leader, an influential pro-family group in Iowa will ask each of the 2012 presidential candidates to sign a marriage pledge that professes everything from marital fidelity to embracing a federal marriage amendment. The document, which has a total of fourteen points is called, The Marriage Vow-A Declaration of Dependence Upon Marriage and Family

We know that politicians would never break a marriage vow!
Isn’t it supposed to be the Dums that is the party of special interests? There are more pledges being demanded of GOP candidates than Heinz has pickles. There should only be one pledge.”Will you do everything and more to defeat Obama.”
No candidate should Shiite.
It is a poison pill and ruinous presiding in their elected position.
Some Democrat operative has ginned up this whole story to make conservatives look bad.
Might be a little dicey for Newt.
I’m a little tired of these “pledges”.
Newt would be the first to sign. Paper and pencil dont cost nothing!
I’m sorry, but this is bee ess.
Nobody has a right to demand that anyone sign anything as a condition to run for office.
Absolutely true!
This is one more bridge too far from conservatives and it charicatures them as bullies. Our own voters guides typically cover essential social, economic and political issues to which candidates agree or disagree, and explain why or why not. Getting radical and requiring signatures on every jot and tittle of the conservative mind and its every thought is irrational Neanderthal thinking. This is why conservatives get a bad wrap for being out of control themselves, unmanageable and tyrants in their own right.
Maybe we can get them to sign a pledge that they won’t sign any more pledges.
LOL. Hey! These smart pills taste just like rabbit poop!
Actually *everyone* has that right. It's called the First Amendment. On the other hand, every *candidate* has the right to ignore such demands.
When did these things come into political vogue? Whoever started this needs tarred and feathered. These things are so stupid.
I’m going to demand that all GOP candidates sign the Notary Sojac Pledge, which calls for replacement of hip-hop with bluegrass on all radio stations, removing speed limits on all interstates outside city limits, and a moratorium on any new Federal debt until the Cubs win the World Series.
sounds like the Kick Newt to the Curb Agreement
This group has made so many huge blunders in the past couple of years they deserve to fade off into the sunset.
Yeah, and this time I got proof. See the byline? David Brody. Used to see him on TV all the time. But he’s dead!
